just being nosey really!

wondering what awning people have and what they keep in it?

we have a compactlite 390 so not a porch but not a full awning quite!

in ours i have :

portable clothes rail for coats and shoes, 2 springy bins one for rubbish and one for dirty laundry, a table, a cadac and all its bits, 1 recling chair set up 1 reclinig chair folded 1 baby size camping chair, a buggy, a backcarrier , portable rotary line folded up and finally a wheelchair or 2!

seems like a lot so i was wondering what other people have.

We have a Sunncamp Ultima 390 porch for weekend use and an Isaballa Commodore 3m wide for longer breaks.
We usually keep a table and chairs, a couple of recliners, BBQ, wetsuits, coats, shoes, dog bedding (for day use), heater, inflatable canoe, body boards, rotary drier ...etc.

We have to reduce the amount of kit we take if we only have the porch awning or it becomes unusable.

camp chairs, shoes in a box, veg and drink (only have a small fridge), laundry bin, dust bin, surf board, helmets, tables, parasol's, airer, wellies!, halogen heater and finally anything the kids have collected like buckets of shells or stones!!

Needless to say we always use a full size awning.

the first time we took the van out we took my in law's sunncamp scenic porch awning and in it we had a table, 2 chairs, kids toys and baby's high chair and there was still room for them to play in it.

Needless to say we are not taking the high chair with us again as it does add unnecessary weight and space. Looking forward to trying out the sunncamp 260 next week.

That is a fantastic amount to get in a Scenic porch, do you need a ladder to climb over all that lot!!!

ha ha no! I wasnt keen on it when i saw it because it looked really small but its more spacious than you think. dont get me wrong, we had to strategically place everything but it was brill. if the 260 is as good as the scenic i'll be very happy.

We have a 260 porch awning & keep in it a larder unit (used for clothes storage) with the microwave sitting on top, table with 2 chairs up & 2 folded underneath, a plastic box for shoes, the bin & the cadac.  Still leaves plenty of room to sit out there or for the kids to play.

When we changed the van to a fixed bed we got rid of the full awning as we didnt need the space (most stuff goes underbed) and now have a porch awning, in there we keep the coat hanger, leccy cool box, 2 chairs, dog food & a bin.

We have an Ultima 260 and a full awning.

In the Ultima, we usually have two chairs, full-height table, small table with the single-burner stove and griddle, bin, one folded chair and the little crate we use to carry our 'supplies' to our friends' awning for the evening.

When we go to Wales, we'll have the full awning - it will have the caravan table, 4 chairs, bin, 3-way fridge, larder unit (assuming I get one - I need one really, for all the stuff we used to keep where the dog now sleeps!), dog's blanket, 2 small tables, the Cobb, beer and whatever other 'stuff' we can't find a home for anywhere else!!

Oh my golly.  Just thinking about what we keep in ours is giving me a headache.  Just back from a long trip, and this is what was in it by the time we left.

Two tables, four folding chairs, microwave, toaster, 3 bikes (nights), skateboard, 3 lightweight sledges (for dry ski ramp), clothes airer, soft drinks, two boxes of kids toys, dog stuff, cadac, 2 crates (folding ones, 1 for shoes, 1 for boots), bin, doormat, two hanging coat hook thingies and all the coats, dirty laundry bag, box of crisps, box of bud, dustpan and brush, handheld hoover thingy, laundry detergents, and anything else I don't want to clutter the van with.   You can guess it is a full awning.

When we have the porch, it is 1 Table, 2 folding chairs, bikes (at night), dog stuff,  dirty laundry, bin and 1 folding crate for shoes.  Clothes airer and 1 hanging rack (from awning poles) for coats.
