------------- Who needs travel agents,we have our static
we have managed to make a temp repair for the time being and their was no draft whilst we went out.
Went to the caravan store last week to measure for a seperator curtain for the end bed to give my daughter some protection against my snoring and i thought its cold in here.
Went into the showeroom and looked up and the lift up sky light had blown away. Found it further down the storage centre quick repair on it and its fine.
So the fun begins, now I need to go and book some sites and dates throughout the summer to amuse me.
I have towed the caravan mainly on the motorway so far except driving through Morecambe and Lancaster city centre when i picked it up.
I think I will keep to parks near motorways for the time being :)
We're newbies too but with us it was me persuading Hubby!

wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're
going to feel all day. '

Many thanks for the advice Fife Bloke all advice welcomed.
There is a domestic shower pump in the container at the front of the caravan along with a heater.
Lots of pipes and some spouts sticking out like i need to connect water to them however we connected via the normal plunge pump into the water container on our maiden voyage this gave us water but none hot
We started off with a little 2 berth just to see if we liked it. Of course we did but i must warn you that it's a very expensive hobby!! We soon moved up to a lovely 6 berth and then last year bought a brand new caravan :)
Hope you enjoy your new lifestyle, there's nothing in the world like a caravanning holiday :)
New also and not got my van yet, it arrives Friday and we cant wait. We live in Blackpool too and its going to be fantastic with a 7 year old and a 2 year old. Carry on camping!!
We are going to Morecambe - tee hee! Thought we would stick to the a roads for our maiden voyage and progress to the m way for next time. Plus near home so if anything goes wrong we dont have far to come home.
Welcome to the forums all you Blackpool newbie's, now if you really want to visit a nice place, Southport is just across the bay and instead of that nice clean Blackpool sand we can offer you four miles of mud flats
