Hi

Dont suppose anyone knows the awning size for the 1992 Swift Challenger 490 SEL cant measure it as it isnt being delivered until next week but wanted to start looking around for 2nd hand awnings.

Yes decided to have it but it only has a porch awning and would like a full awning but they are so expensive new!!

Oh i'm so pleased your "Bailey" was the One even if she is a Swift lol.  Bet you are feeling really relieved now that at long last the search is over! 

When we were looking 2 years ago with a £2000 budget the Challenger was on my list of 'vans i would buy.  It's a lovely looking 'van.  Can't help with the awning size but as it's got a porch have you thought about trying it with just that this year just to see if you really need a full awning.  If you do get one then make sure its a 4/5 piece awning as they are so much easier to put up with the front and side sections zipped off.

We have a full awning but hate having to put it up so this year bought a porch awning.  It's nowhere near as spacious as the full but for a weekend is fine.  You might find that you won't need a full awning?

Were used to putting up a huge 7.5 meter by 3 meter tent (usually done in under 30 mins) so figure an awning would be as quick if not quicker and like you RC I like the idea of the extra room.

Gonna have a look at a local dealers as I know when they get vans in for part ex they sell the awnings seperatley.
