When I had the occasion to visit the tent forum on here, I was rather taken by a thread where people posted pictures of themselves so that members of UKCS had some idea of what the people they speak with on here look like. It is something that I have not spotted on the caravan list, so I thought it might be a nice idea to have an equivalent here. So come on folks, post a picture of yourself so that we can see what each other looks like. Now I hate pictures of myself, but I'm prepared to start the ball rolling.

DSB you look like Chris Gosling off the caravan channel :)
Never watched the caravan channel, but I can assure you I am not Chris Gosling. My son reckons I look like someone from 'Eggheads' - again, never seen it so wouldn't know. Some great photos. Keep 'em coming.

I enjoyed looking at your website too. We used to have an ABI Maurauder but it was a 450CT model - our very first van. We loved the Maurauder but I remember the edging kept coming off the table. My family came from the Dudley area (Sedgley, Coseley & Tipton) - I lived in Tipton until I was 6. Coincidentally, I was up your way on Wednesday - I did a concert at High Arcal School with some Singers I conduct (The Brewood Singers) - we helped with their school concert. I noticed you often go to Wolverley (your 'local') - our local is Kingsbury Water Park and Conkers, but we prefer Conkers. We'll look out for you if we get to Wolverley.

The first thing you need to do is to copy the picture from your computer to somewhere on the internet. I use photobucket: http://photobucket.com/ (It's free, by the way!). First you need to join it, by signing up. Then follow the procedure on their site for uploading the photo. When you have uploaded the photo (you still have the original on your computer) the next thing I do is resize it - I click on the photo in photobucket, go to resize and take the bottom (other) option and resize to 500x375 (that seems to work OK for UKCS). You then need to link the picture to a post.
This is how you do it: First of all, I find it easier to open UKCS one one tab of Internet Explorer and Photobucket on another tab. This means you can quickly move from one to another. Find the thumbnail of the picture you want to post on UKCS in your Photobucket account - hover above it and you will see a box appear underneath. Go to the Direct Link line and left click once on the code in grey. It will highlight. Now right click and use the copy function to copy the highlighted code. Go back to your UKCS post and click on the icon at the top of the post you have already started, that looks like mountains. (If you have got security on your computer, you may need to allow access by clicking the magnolia strip that comes up underneath the tab on Internet Explorer - if this is the case you may need to click the mountains again when you have allowed access.) A window should appear. Paste the link that you have copies from your photobucket account. Click OK. Wait (and pray) and the picture should come up in the post.
Don't be put off if you don't understand my instructions - and get back if there's a problem, or look on the UKCS link above.
Hope this might help. It sounds a bit complicated, but when you've got used to it, you will find your own way of doing it - a bit like putting up an awning!!
