I've just booked myself into a site and was asked how long my caravan was so I said, oh 17 foot, so she said no problem, we only need to know about vans over 21 feet.
So off I went, happy as can be, only to realise my van is 22feet 4 inches and I quoted the inside measurements of the van.
Will it matter for 1 foot 4 inches????
I'm worried now that if I ring she wont take the booking as they dont take booking for vans over 21 feet and I've paid a deposit.
They may not be insured for vans over 21ft. because with insurance you pay extra for this and extra for that, so they might not have incuded anything over 21ft. In which case you will be turned away, so you had best ring, they should return your deposit.
Look the site up using google earth and take a look at the caravans that are there , if you spot some big ones you may be ok , i would still ring the site and talk to them anyway .
the majority of sites can accomodate big vans but maybe not on every pitch, they prpbably want to know so they can allocate you a pitch that's big enough, I'd definitely let them know you made a mistake, you'd be so disappointed if you were turned away or if your van was knocked because it hung over the boundary.

Esther - I think the penny has just dropped as to who your OH is! It was the 'June at Freshwater CC' that made me think. Do tell Ian that we are now able to stay at Freshwater until the Saturday morning, so we will look out for you on the Friday afternoon/evening when you arrive.
just get someone else to ring them and ask if they accommodate 22 foot vans.. if not, they'll give you a reason at least - and you'll know if it's worth trying to sneak it on..
