yes £100 sounds about right for the wheel clamp.QUOTE wheel size when you order to prevent wrong size sent.ie some are for 13 inch some are 14 inch wheels.a good clamp can be on the heavy side.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
If your new purchase has a receiver on its axle for the Al-Ko lock I'd go for that. It'll gain you a good discount on your insurance & I understand them to be among the best available. A visit to the al-Ko web site wil give you access to a video demonstration of this wheel lock.
Although we've got one, I'm not the biggest fan of the al-Ko hitch lock though, I'd ask your dealer which hitch lock he believes to be the best.

good point did not think of that one.must be better if you have the receiver fitted.

We've got the Al-Ko lock, and once we got the hang of remembering to line the wheel spokes up with the receiver, found it a piece of cake to use.
Although heavy, still much much lighter, and easier to use, than the Bulldog clamp we had before.
Al-Ko also do a hitchlock if you've got one of their stabilisers fitted - again, easy to use, fairly light, and although won't deter a determined thief are enough to hold them up which might be enough to save your van.

Does nayone know whether the wheel clamps that don't cover the nuts are oK for insurance purposes? Thanks.
in insurance quotes i have had over the years they have always asked is there a wheel clamp, never at any time did they ask if it covered the nuts or bolts.

Check the policy carefully, It may say a thatcham gold security device must be fitted.
If they really want your van they will get it though, Ive not seen anything that couldnt be overcome in a few minutes of quiet work with the right tools.
