Agree with both of these. Later on down the line, when you've experienced both, get a fixed bed caravan. I now sleep better in the caravan than at home.
On our pageant s7 we found the bed was flatter if the cushions were pulled out as they were rather than flipping them and putting the knee rolls to the outside edges. Perhaps the pullout slats were shaped so.
The OH is finding the fixed bed in our Pegasus so hard to the level it is disrupting her sleep. I feel a mattress topper coming on.

Turn all the seat the wrong way round when you make the beds , so that the buttons are all underneath, it makes a flatter bed.
Good Lord that's a good tip, I never thought of that.
I'm on my third van in eight years, the latest a 2008 and even though it's the most comfortable I still don't sleep well.

we bought a memory topper for the last van worked a treat, but our fixed bed is wonderful better than at home,,,,again it is memory foam but not a topper.

When you turn the cushions over make sure the kneerolls go at the head and foot of the bed too otherwise that can make it feel lumpy. Our new caravan bed is uncomfortable to sleep on so we take an extra duvet with cover on it as the bottom sheet which has made it more comfortable. Also the last time we went away we slept the "wrong" way on the bed! Our heads were underneath the front windows so that we were laying along the length of the seats instead of across them iykwim :) That made it more comfy and made it easier for either of us to get out of the bed without distubing the other :) Our ds even slept in with us one night and he's 5ft 3" at the age of 11 :)
We also sleep " the wrong way round" and find it more comfortable. I was always the one who ended up pressed against the chest of drawers! OH finds it more comfy because he is tall so there's plenty of leg room. And the dog prefers it cos he can now sneak on the bed without OH noticing!
I think were ging to have to put Hubby on the bed till he fined a good place to stick his feet as hes 6ft2 and i am 5 ft 2 so can go anyway. I know when my mum and dad had there van a 2 birth marqader they evere even set the bed up they just sleeped on the seats as was but there both tiny. and my dauetr used to sleep under the tabel lol

I found I could put the two long cushions lengthwise on the bed at the head end. The two backrests went across at the foot end. But kept them the right way up. That was really comfy.
if i can get a good kip in my van at 6'4" then anyone can, okay my feet do dangle over the edge of the bed a bit. then again some say I can doss on a razor blade. you will be fine wendy, enjoy the creature comforts
