How many of you have travelled to your destination, only to find you have forgotten something really important - like my OH who always packs the car (I do the van and driving), reached our caravan site 90 miles away and he had packed the wrong awning, the poles were for the full length one and the awning cover was the porch one. Two and a half hour round trip going back home as he was adamant he wanted the awning up for the week we were there (litte one and me did stay with the van). And to round it off whilst taking down the awning he scratched the side of the car with one of the poles! Men!

Hi, I made list on spread sheet of all things required and their weight, so tend not to forget things now, I look at sheet and anything i want to take i type into spread sheet and it will calculate if i am over weight for van, then put the items in car, so spread sheet dose 3 things, 1. lists all things i need to take. 2. calculates all the weights. 3. gives me print out incase needed for our friendly motor way patrol. mind you once after doing all that forgot to take list.
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong

How fantastic ! I thought I was really organised but this takes the biscuit ! It's nice to know that there are people just as anal as me ! (No offence intended)
Not really with the caravan, but we have forgotten tent pegs, were once on a site in the middle of knowhere, had to make pegs out of bits of wood hacked off an old shed.
Went to the lake district last year for 2 weeks and we had bought a new awning so were eager to set it up ...but what had i done brought the old one instead and there was no way i was doing over 300 mile round trip back to get it so you can imagine what i was called for a Fortnight
we're away at the moment and forgot the caravan keys. fortunately we keep spares of the essential keys, hitchlock caravan key etc on OH's car keys, so can manage, We just don't have the key for the Bike locks etc.I realised about 20 minutes into the journey but thought i would keep quiet til we got here, She did look a bit shocked when I said "your gonna have to give me the car keys out the ignition" when we got here!
Have got 3 hours down the m5 once and realised we forgot the dogs leads, not essesntial you may think but we have 3 dogs, !! Now keep spare of them aswell in the van

We were once going to a CL 90 miles from home and about halfway there I realised I hadn't packed the bedding, so we drove to the nearest town, found a shop which sold it and bought a whole new set of duvet, duvet cover, pillows, pillowcases and sheets.

I have a very temperamental personality - 50% temper and 50% mental
During one journey mrs jeff and i were going through a list verbaly of have you got,did you remember to,and after feeling amazed that we did not forget anything we settled down to enjoy the journey. It was 50mls or so later she let out a screem.....IVE FORGOTTEN THE KEYS TO THE VAN.BOTH SETS.
We've been there several times. The first for us was, we got right down to Cornwall to find we'd left the awning panels up in the loft & spent the holiday with no awning.
Second one was very recent. Julie & the kids were down there on holiday this past three weeks, I went down for the last week of the 3 & had quite a lot of meals cooked & in the coolbox. I got about 30 miles from home & delivered something to a workshop where one of my vehicles was only to realise the coolbox wasn't in the car. I drove home again, picked up my coat to get the spare house key instead of switching off the car & uncoverered the flipping coolbox in the back footwell of the car . Easy done though isn't it.
