Does anyone know of a company which makes retro style caravan awnings? I'm after something like a deckchair stripe or dotty or floral but most companies only offer rather bland generic looking ones... Thank you!
You will probably need to find someone who can custom make an awning for you in your desired fabric.
TVS (Tent Valeting Services) are often recommended on here but I don't know if they can make an awning from scratch - they usually do alterations and repairs - but it wouldn't hurt to contact them.

I haven't seen a striped awning before I have a sun canopy though. You might be lucky & find an old retro style canvas 70's awning on eBay. But they tend to be brown & orange, green & brown, blue & orange etc. I've had a few off there for around a tenner & only needing a few minor repairs. One I had was almost in mint condition. Either that or maybe you could buy a plain coloured one & dye it although I've no idea what affect it will do to the waterproofing.

there was one on ebay a couple of weeks ago,a wide stripped one. i was looking for a two man canoe so do not know why it came up with an awning.
Who knows how it came up but it made ma laugh reading that. I guess the sellers need to try putting them in the right category first.
Would this be anything like you are looking for?
This is the awning that we have for our pop-top van so it's a lower profile than a standard van. This came from Campers & Leisure in the New Forest area.

I made this one last year. I would have preferred stripes, but sourcing the fabric would have made it more expensive so I settled for two colours instead. I've been thinking on making more, so let me know if you might be interested.
You could have a go at making one yourself, or contact a company like NR, with a picture of the material and ask if they can supply one.
I copied Ade Edmondsons TV series idea from his mini, and converted a large flag into a sun canopy, it was easy enough to waterproof with paint on proofer.

Hi fredwunder.
I came across your post looking for a custom awning for a shepherd's hut we're having built. I want something that looks vintage and love the look of the one you made. Can't seem to work out how to pm on this forum so apologies for resurrecting an old thread. Hope you get this and if you do would love to get in touch. My e-mail is a gmail one and name is fenechy. Drop me a line if you are interested in looking at making one. I'll send you a photo of the hut. It's a teeny little hut so don't need anything too big. Many thanks. John
What size are you looking for? I have a brown NR awning to fit a 12 to 13ft caravan that has stripey trim panels on it, would sell it on for a reasonable price.
