It's much the same as a Motorbike really, you want to buy when it is getting in the owners way at home, not when they think they could just go out in it.
We bought our caravan just over a month ago, and in the back of our minds we knew we were against the time for the price rise with the seasn approaching, I am just glad we found the right van, for the right price and have been able to use it twice since!
I guess it just depends if you can wait until the autumn, I know I wouldn't be able to :)
I would agree with winter as less demand. Exactly the same for convertible cars, prices go up as weather improves! Got a good deal on our Saab by buying in Feb!
4 x 4 prices definitely went up with the bad weather too!

We bought our caravan in december and the jeep in june but it did take 6 months to find what we wanted Best way start looking now find a bargain good if not carry on looking till you do
i found prices to be cheaper as you get people wanting money for christmas or holidays

Hi. Best time to buy? When you find the van you like at the right price.

I agree. THe time of the year wouldn't be an issue for me. If I wanted one, I'd keep pestering until I got what I wanted. I don't think there's a lot in it.
End of the year you can find that the vans made for that year come down in price so you can get a brand new one cheaper. Think about your warranty. That requires the van to be serviced annually within so many weeks before or after the anniversary of the purchase date. So, if you buy in Jan/Feb you will be getting the van serviced just after the freezing winter and just before you start your new years travels. Thats got to be a plus.....

we bought ours on a cold wet day in december when the sales man greets you with "we don't unlock the vans in weather like this because no one ever buys!" We got £1000 off plus all the starter freebies we could think of plus brand new awning worth £850. In total spent £4k instead of £6! worth waiting
best time to buy is when you see the right van ,whats ment for you wont go by you as they say and you might just stumble on what your looking for without even trying,if you want a season this year start seriously looking now
