Old fashioned soda crystals, cost about £1 a pack in wilkos.
Throw a handful of crystals into the sink , then a kettle of boiling water .
It even clears outside household drains. It dissolves grease .

I also use it to clean the waste container and I used it to clear black bits in the flush water tank of the loo.

Do not pour boiling water down the drains of your sinks you will cause the plastic pipes to expand and they may warp also do not use household bleach as this makes the plastic brittle and hard and over a length of time they turn to powder.Use something like chempro and warm water

Putting boiling water and bleaches down a home sink is another matter. The plastic pipes in the caravan will take so much of this they are very thin though they have rings round them.I was below one of my vans which we bought new and, a support clip had came off the waste pipe,i put my hand up to secure the pipe and it just turned to dust in my hand.I checked the down pipe from the kitchen sink and it just seemed to burst, the van was 3 and a half years old.I had to renew all the plastic waste pipes.

When mrs jeff is pouring hot liquids from pots down the caravan sink she turns on the cold water first.

I empty mine into the outside waste water facility (which in my case is a bucket!)LOL... However if it's pouring down, I drain into the washing up bowl in the sink, then leave to cool a lot more before emptying down the sink in the caravan.

ETA: to clean a blocked caravan sink, pour 1/2 cup of Bicarbonate of Soda and follow this with 1/2 cup of white vinegar. The baking soda is basic and the vinegar is acidic, so they will react with a churning action should break up the blockage without using any chemicals. No hot water required.

We pop a spot of milton down our drains diluted in a jug of warm water, then follow it with some washing up liquid and water, dont this for years and it works ok

~I haven't got a washing up bowl!
I guess I will continue as I have been and replace the waste pipe when needed it doesn't cost much.

Fenwick's Fendox is made for the interior cleaning of the caravan or motorhome, making cleaning so easy. One product will clean everything inside the unit. High quality raw materials and a quest to do as much as possible from one liquid, has led to the formulation of Fendox.

Fenwick's Fendox in it’s neat form can be used to unblock blocked drains, clean the grey and black water tanks (it will even remove formaldehyde and lime scale) including the convoluted pipe work leading to them. Neutralizing malodours and killing all germs, without the use of bleach (bleaching agents damage plastic).

Fenwick's Fendox can be diluted to a 10 – 1 solution with water and used to clean working surfaces, cookers, fridge’s, sinks, wash basins, showers, and toilets. Fendox is food safe, so once a working surface has been cleaned with it food can be safely prepared. Fendox kills e-coli, salmonella and other germs. It will remove stains, nicotine, egg and other hard to remove substances.

Fendox’s concentrated formula, gives excellent value for money and is a very effective sanitiser. It is safe on all surfaces, and does not contain abrasives and is fully biodegradable.

Hi,  we got it from Halfords but any caravan or motorhome place
should have it.6js

Think it's probably ok to do the boiling water once in a while then by the sounds of it. I do tend to use a washing up bowl anyway. Don't ever use bleach - maybe the combination of the 2 might be a bit much. ?
