Yippee!! We picked up our caravan last night,its even better than I remember from the viewing. Still cant believe it is sat on our drive,so exciting for us. We go to Lanzarote on sunday for a week so cant try her out til after that.

Congratulations Karen! I too was so excited when we got our first van last year and a year on I still get that really happy feeling (yeah - like a kid!) when we are getting ready to go away in her! Luckily we can get away most weekends, either tenting or in the 'van and the novelty has still not worn off!

I know just how you feel! Its wonderful isnt it? I got my first van a few weeks ago and have been out in her twice. She is an old (maybe 1979) ABI Award 14/4 with her original funky awning LOL. We love it, and wished we had done it years ago. Hope Lanzarote is great and that you have a wonderful summer with your new baby when you get back.

If you are in the Yorkshire region and need a very good and inexpensive mobile servicer to check her Co2 etc. let me know. I found one and he was brilliant. Some dont work on vintage vans, he was very good.

Hi Guys thanks for all thw comments. We got a sterling europa 500e ,she is 11 years old but amazing inside with full service history,we love the layout and the whole condition of her. For our fist van we are well chuffed.Sorry cloudberry we are in weston super mare but thanks for the offer.And c6cassie,yes just like a big kid!!!!!! Love it,its like christmas everytime i look at her

If you keep your `van at home please try and get a neighbour to park in front of your `van whilst you are away . It is a prime target at 11 years young . Hopefully you have insured it already against theft . 10 minutes alone with it is all experienced caravan thieves will want if it is all wheel clamped and hitch locked . Consider removing both wheels and the tow hitch . Can be the biggest deterrent and only a few bolts .

Woohoo so excited for you, it's a fab feeling seeing your van on the drive and thinking it's all ours.I get excited for everyone when they get their van, it's as good as getting my own.
I'm on my third van and I loved them all but this new ( new to us) is my fave, I sit in it all the time, we even sleep in it sometimes just because we love it lol.Like being a kid at Christmas again.
Hope you Have some fantastic times in it enjoy there is nothing like if :D

Hey Donna,we only got it tuesday and we have sat in it every night, ive just been in it showing it off to a friend,and the children went in last night and played cards.We are so going away loads this year as you just pull up ,legs down kettle on.Not the 3 hours of putting tent up which always put us off,plus my back problem.Its looking like it could be every other weekend yippee!!!!!

Excellent :D it's so much fun just sitting in it.We were campers before and have to say it's so much better in a caravan :D no damp hair no unzipping to go to loo, just step out of bed and walk in the warm to your own loo!! And just flicking a switch for the kettle is like heaven lol , you will love it so much :D have loads of fun
