Hi savanne1, Gutted for you, I now take what any sale person says, with a pinch of salt, hopefully it is only a bad window seal, you could have a look around the window seals,to see if any of them are damaged, check rail above window (if you have one there) and the awning rail, and hopefully its not to bad, if you have Phil on the case with the dealer, you should get a satisfactory out come, try not it let it spoil your holiday. good luck.
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.

Michael, we know its leaking but dont know its damp. Will insist on seeing damp test report tommorrow and see what they have to say. I just want to know who did the mastic job and when. They sold the van new to people local and serviced it every year. Cant believe the owner would have done the mastic so it has to be the dealer.
when they took it in part exchange they will have done a damp report for themselves so they know how much to offer.and if damp a lower price would follow.
Your consumer rights
When you buy an item from a trader (eg a shop or online shop) the law says the item must be:
- of satisfactory quality – last for the time you would expect it to and be free of any defects
- fit for purpose – fit for the use described and any specific use you made clear to the trader
- as described – match the description on packaging or what the trader told you
If an item doesn’t meet any of these rights, it is faulty and you will usually have the right to a:
- repair
- replacement
- refund

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
