Just spent a large part of the day cleaning the van, it looks a treat.
I am dreading getting bugs and flies stuck to the front,i am thinking of ways to prevent this happening or making it easier to remove them, any ideas or remedies any one?
I am considering spraying fenwicks overwinter to the front of the van before we set off. would this make it easier to remove bugs at end of journey?

If it has been polished it shouldn't be too difficult to remove them but you could always buy some no water wash to do it with when you get where your going. It's very quick and easy to use.

You can get your van specially coated to help with cleaning - Paintseal (or equivalent) - although I believe this coating is more effective in stopping the 'dulling' caused by UV rays.

Where do you find the front covers? Have noticed a few on the motorway whilst towing. Motorway travelling can make a real mess on the front of the van .... curious how they fix on too!!
You could also look on Ebay too for a front cover as I know there are a couple of different manufacturers that make them designed especially for your caravan. In the search box just enter your caravan model and the words 'front cover' and it should provide a list of them.
Thanks for all your comments, i dont really fancy a cover i am always concerned that they may scratch windows as they move around when travelling also wondered about storage when wet and how to remove flies and bugs from cover/
It was good to hear that j6 had a positive experience with the overwintering product. I think i will give it a go one small spray gun with the ready mixed solution kept in gas locker should be ok for the return journey as well.

I've heard that the front covers do cause damage to the caravan. We saw one a few months ago at the top of Woodhead - the car had pulled into a layby and the owners were desperately trying to re-affix it to the caravan in the wind. It was flying around over the top of the caravan. Just imageine the buffeting it gets when travelling. Even worse imagine it coming off when travelling!
We did think about getting one for the exact reason of keeping the front clean from flies etc - but having seen that and talking to the fella at our storage site, we decided not to bother.
