 was recently asked by a carravanning buddy if we fancied taking the 'van out overnight, must admit i thought about it for a while, but decided that ,even though i love our lttle 'van and 'vanning genrally ,it really wasn't worth the hassle of hitching up etc for 1 night.

was just wondering how many 'vanners ,would have gone or do go, just for 1 night

i don't mind going for 2 nights but 1 seems to be a waste of time personally

We regularly go for one night but the sites we go to don't have strict arrival/departure times .
We have also stayed at the coast 20 minutes away from home and still gone to work from the site ,much nicer coming 'home' from work to the van over looking the sea with a glass of wine and the BBQ cooking .

nearest coastal site to us is a 2hr drive away, nearest rural site is an hours drive away, hence my reluctance to go for a single night, although i must admit the thought of coming 'home' from work to the 'van do'es appeal to some degree,driving upto 8hrs a day for a living , would take the fun out of  'commutting ' to and from the 'van.

once on site i just want to put the old feet up, crack open a tinney or 2 and forget all about the every-day hum drum, usually takes 2 days at least

We do one nighters - usually Saturdays and on sites where we don't have to be off till Sunday tea time.

If it's a night in the van, we're there!!
