------------- "I'm a fool for my dogs"
Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
We did this very same trip in April
We did stop just off the A1 in a caravan club site whose name escapes me
Strathclyde park is erm ...basic
When we were there it was more hygenic not to have a shower in their block but cheap enough
And you get to see your Grandson so Im guessing you would camp in a quarry if you had too
It was not a bad trip at all and once you get into Scotland the roads are lovely so empty and clean
The worst bit we found was the roundabout going in to ~Strathclyde park you just have to point and go!!
Good Luck
Girl power! Although i'm afraid i wouldn't have the courage to attemt it. I have to sit in the back of the car when we set off and don't relax untill reached site!
Think of the lovely little bundle you get to hold at the end of your journey, that should keep you going!
Safe journey and congratulations on the birth of your grandson

Red Landrover disco and 2 birth Elddis gently plodding up the A1 or M6 not sure yet - going to plan my route now/ I prefer A1 I know the stopping places a little better, but which is going to be quicker hmmmm descisions.

I am pleased you are not going to strathclyde park to stay, I am originally from Glasgow and would not recommend the site, although it may be a bit different now it has some hotels in the area.
Have a great time and enjoy, the roads are pretty good just like every other place.
