My neighbour at home, ALWAYS wears here rubber gloves to put items in her dustbin - now that I find strange, but wearing them when emptying the caravan loo isn't strange at all.
Ive noticed people doing this too, so you aren't alone. Do you then just take the gloves off and put them away, along with any germs that are on them? Ive watched someone doing that.
Wouldn't it be just as hygenic not to wear gloves but to wash your hands and then use anti bac after?
You could try barrier cream that's very good personally It doesn't bother me if I get the odd splash on my hands it washes off it's funny how sqemish and embarrased people get when emptying the toilet again it doesn't bother me everyone knows what you are doing so why worry. Last week On one emptying trip the warden came over and started chatting then a motorhome pulled up and the owners started to empty their waste tanks we all chatted away while we got on with things
i wear the thin latex type disposable gloves, bit like doctors inspection gloves.
they come in a box of 100 and you can get them in flesh colour and clear (i use blue as thats all we use at work!!).
Certain fast food outlet staff, such as Subway wear them when food handling.
they cost about £4.00 a box.
I also use these - I get them from my local car accessories shop for around the same price. Great for dirty jobs and just pull them off your hands and throw away when the job's done.
apparently you should wear gloves when using chemicals and emptying the toilet.i do not because i think the gloves are getting dirtier each time used, better to wash hands in antibacterial soap.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
OH uses disposable gloves too, just dont fancy leaving used bacteria covered gloves in a locker or cupboard in the caravan to breed more germs, may as well go without and just wash you hands well afterwards than faff around putting dirty gloves back on.
