I've just sold a 2007 Fleetwood 640ES T. Superb van. I don't see a problem with them no longer being made. Most items in vans are universal and made for all vans. The only thing specific to the van is probably the cupboard doors. But who damages those??
I changed for no other reason than I wanted a fixed double at the back. I would have kept it for a lot longer than the 4 years that I owned it if not.
Go buy one. Cracking vans!

I sold it privately. Very cheap, just for a quick sale. I had already bought the replacement.
Here is the ad:

Mine also had the Reich mover and aircon. Be aware that the Reich mover sits VERY low on the Fleetwoods and can catch on speed humps on sites. It only damages the plastic casings, easily replaced if needed. I bought spares from Reich.
These vans are seriously well built vans. We've had many vans in the past and this was the best. The only one to match it as a replacement for me was a Buccaneer.
The Fleetwood set me back something like £23000.00 with the extras when new.
If you need anymore advice, feel free to ask.

A forecourt price is about what they are asking. The trade price differs greatly. Approx £8000-£9000. They may have paid well over that to sell the van that it was traded in against.
I was offered £13000 for mine against a new one. A 2011 model though..
BUT, they have to allow for prep, warranty and possible part ex. I would expect you to be able to get it for £12500 for a straight purchase.
As the saying goes, find another one as good as that and see if you can get it cheaper. There is one on evilbay at the moment.
If you can get it for £13k, you have got it at a fair price. Not a bargain, but fair if it has a service etc.

Thanks Kev. Trying to sort the insurance out now, what a mine field. Reading on here probably play safe and go for caravan club new for old. Am I right in saying that the alko wheel lock locating sockets are fitted to the van and you have to buy the plates? there seems to be a threaded socket behind the wheels.
The wheel locks came with the Heritage. Make sure you get them. They are expensive to replace!!
There should be 2 alko bags with the red locks and other bits in.
The caravan club do insist that both are fitted to the wheels. This can be a bit of a pain. I used to just fit one and didn't bother with the 10% discount that they carried.
One on site with a hitchlock was plenty in my opinion. My driveway has much more security.
Just make sure that you insist that the dealer gets you those locks. You have paid top price. you don't want to have to pay more.
Kev.
