My new lunar has shelfs either side of the fixed bed and also in the toilet area but the rails are low. This means tall items (sprays, shower gels, shaving foam) fall from them.
We have always kept that sort of item in a vanity case, though on one van we were able to rig up a small luggage elastic whivh kept them in place even when towing.

You are not expecting them to stay there while towing surely?
Bathroom stuff we keep mainly in the cupboard, we have a good big one, I have purchased some suitable boxes from Ikea to "corral" them so they don't leap out on me when I open the doors on the site. We just leave out the things we are using, then pop them back in the boxes before we move on.
We have a shelf right along the bedhead where we have a clock, books etc, when we travel I just stick them in amongst the pillows.

If you are driving with them in place i think its going to be a sure bet their gonna fall.We just sit them in place when we arrive, simples
I thought you kept your van in storage and only pulled out on to pitch, and as Witches Craig is nice and flat I would not have thought anything would have moved. That's it you've arrived.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
we have some lengths of bendy plastic that are 4" tall that are wedged into place in cupboards whilst towing to stop things like sugar containers dropping out should the door open, maybe something like that would help?
The mrs has had a teapot on a shelf for many years, she forgot to pack it away one time in the south of france, it has never fallen off in 1000's of miles towing, we don't know why! the shelf edge is only 2" tall !!!! its a standard thing now that a large bump in the road will be rewarded with "thats the teapot gone" however it is still there!!!!

Bad idea towing with anything in the high cupboards as it could unbalance the caravan causing snaking!
How heavy is your shower gel bottle??? A couple of toiletries will weigh a lot less than the microwave the manufacturers mount at eye level.

Is this the Ayrshire police on my tail ? Maybe i should have said WHEN we were touring. We still take all toilettries off the shelfs, like today, when we were putting the van back in the yard..

Err. We don't have a microwave at eye level but even if we did, it is still a bad idea to travel with anything in high cupboards, i.e. baked bean tins etc.
We take heavy items out of cupboards when on the move, not because of weight distribution issues but because of the damage they would do if they fell out. A lightweight plastic wineglass fell out onto the worktop once and made a definite dent so Im always careful. Plates, cups etc travel in the cupboard but they are melamine and in designated racks, with a strong catch on the cupboard door.
The food "essentials" kept in the van travel in a plastic folding crate and toiletries are in the cupboard under the bathroom sink, in a plastic basket type container we got in B&Q, oblong shape so fits on the shelf. I also unhook the showerhead and wrap it in a towel on the shower floor, which has a mat in anyway.
The worktops and open shelves are kept clear in transit, and we dont have knick knacks and ornaments in the van anyway.
