We are buying a new 2011 Lunar Quasar 525 dealer special and have the choice of the demo van at £900 cheaper than the factory fresh. Demo van looks as good as new so we are very tempted.
Any thoughts on buying a demo van?

well £900 is alot of money and when we come to sell it in a few years time I cant believe the factory fresh 2011 will be worth any more than the 2011 demo. The demo looks as good as new but wonder just how much wear and tear demo has had in opening/shutting cupboards etc or is that just me being daft?
Van will still have Lunars 3 year warranty.

Little wear & tear I would think on demo. People don't normally go in opening every cupboard & drawer do they? Appliances may have been demonstrated but probably not used in the accepted sense. If they do break you have a warranty anyway.

Sounds good to me. It might be worth serious consideration - especially if the knock off the round grand!!
Imho You should be able to negotiate a lot more than £900 off a factory fresh 2011 van. Have you tried price matching with other dealers for the same model caravan.???
We bought a Pegasus 504 that was a cancelled order/ex demo and saved £2300 so well chuffed Could barely tell from factory fresh and very happy with our purchase.
sounds like a good deal, we've bought many vans that are "ex-demo", but all that means is people have walked around them. If nothing's falling off, everything works and there's no damage, go for it! (Just check, no-one's used the loo!!!)
the van is already discounted by £2300 on the RRP plus the extra £900 as a demo. Found out today its only been on display a month so we've gone ahead and bought it.

Surely factory fresh ordered at this time of year would be 2012 not 2011?
------------- Caravanning is a way of getting a cheap holiday out of an expensive hobby
Some dealers hold several of the same model but will obviously only put one of them on public display ... hence there may well be plenty of factory fresh 2011 models still hanging around.

I THINK YOU HAVE HAD A GOOD DEAL £3200 of list would be hard to beat. I thought on first reading you were referring to £900 of list for a demo
Good luck & enjoy the deal
