Bought van from a well known dealer in July. Returned in Sep to have front window and off side front looked at due to water ingress.(dealer had van for 3 weeks). Going back in on Sat to attempt to fix same faults again!. Lets see if they can repair it second time around. (van is 2005 Bailey Ranger 550/6).
Well first the wifes walking stick fell over and took a chunk out of door, Two loved up ducks put not one but two dents in the side and while trying to scratch my back with a fork marked fridge door then pump refused to work dragged it back to dealers only to find man who fitted mover had drilled though cable....Other than that its been fine 2010 swift conqueror 645
Can't really see the relevance. Tentz broken door retainer clip doesn't really signify much on his 1984 van nor does th walking stick dent. As for the window repair going back a second time, we don't know if it is a bad dealer, bad van or bad model.
I hit mine with a window frame I removed from the house on Sunday and it left a dent. I don't wish imply this will happen to all 2002 Compass 482's
The only problems we've had are ones caused by carelessness or clumsiness - a few scrapes and dents because we didn't see obstructions, a broken lightshade caused by flailing arms, and another lightshade broken by the guy who was servicing the caravan - which he replaced, of course! We also needed to replace the foam filling in the seats, but then neither of us are tiny and we'd been living in the caravan for 15 months non-stop!

You should take more care of your old van millermicm. I think young trav might be trying to get to get his posts up .
I think you might be right. He's not a diamond geezer like me.
I spent much of Saturday evening thinking about how I could stop that damned window falling against the van. On Sunday on the job I didn't give it a second thought. Worst bit was I did it on my own - no one else to blame.
Water ingress from washroom skylight seal failing. Water again from front gutter seal failing, off side brake seizing on due to being left on all winter. 1990 Swift Corvette. Cost £600 to buy incuding awning and all mod cons. Cost £140 to put all right. Now water-tight and travels like a dream.
Replacement interior locker door (didn't match the others)
Graphics on side replaced ( not stuck on and a mess)
Some buttons recovered on the upholstry, fabric was coming off. When redone they did it with senator fabric but it we let it go, it's near enough unless under close inspection
Basin resealed around the back
Bed gas struts didn't work
Radio/cd replaced (stopped working)
T.v booster (stopped working)
Replacement draining board (cracked on arrival).
Fly blind handle in wrong place (never did get it done, they said thats how it should be)
Between 1 and 3 years..... fed up yet???
Brakes......something to do with the bearings and cylinder, found at second service by other cc approved workshop, could have fought our corner but didn't trust the dealer to touch it. We paid to have it done instead.
NEW BACK AND FRONT PANELS due to cracks hense water ingress.
Both awning rails replaced.
Front locker problem back to square one due to new front.
Radio/cd stopped working again out of warranty...replaced by us.
Gas heater stopped working, part replaced (not quite sure what)
There are a few more bits and bots but in the main the vans fine apart from all that.
