You all know the age old issue of people walking over your pitch .we moved the car as people were walking so close we have no awning up due to the wind.
It gets dark and we hear an almighty ouch as someone fell over the step walking between the car and van bet they go round the car next time !!!!
I guess pitch invaders walking over land you have paid for deserve at least a twisted ankle for their crime. You obviously didn't bring enough wind breaks, make sure you have enough to completely encircle your pitch next time.
Councils spend a fortune creating wonderful gardens but you will always gets A##holes that walk across them and not stick to the paths. What chance have you got on a campsite. Also I think you should say something to them politely after all they may not realise. Is it a written rule on club sites as well as commercial sites that they dont do this or is it just manners?

I would have said it is just plain manners not to tramp right across the front of someone's pitch. Especially if you are so close you trip over a step, which lets be honest is going to be right in front of your caravan door not stuck several feet out!
Though I fear it is another sign of the times we live in where a large proportion of people think of nothing but themselves.
Its something that drives me nuts. Its a question of manners. We had a site last February where the people in the van opposite would walk through our pitch right past us whilst we were eating our breakfast. I'm afraid I did loose it a little and said really loudly that if they did it again I would sit outside there van and have my breakfast there.
They have to be the extra high windbreaks with multiple guy ropes fanning out in all directions just in case anyone decides to even approach the pitch.

I'm glad its not just me! It really irritates me when people do this! I'm sure they would feel the same if people were to walk right through their pitch
Tentz - i hate seeing windbreaks toally around a pitch but that is one answer to this problem!
I think its bad manners to walk so closely to another persons caravan and my little dog would get quite excited if someone did that to us (although she doesn't seem to bark much when we're camping) I think the rest of teh family would make quite a few noisy remarks though. Some sites aren't laid out very well and it is tempting to cut through rather than walk all the way around to get to the ablutions. I don't mind if a child cuts through because they always leave it until they're "desperate" but adults should be more considerate.
I'm not a fan of windbreaks when used as boundary markers. We used one once at the front of our pitch with our caravan & it made me feel really unsociable (plus I couldn't nose at all the comings & goings) It was useful though when we were tenting and needed a wind blocker for outdoor cooking.

If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
