On Sunday, I'll be picking up my first ever caravan Off to
Huddersfield where the dealer promises me he'll show me how everything
works, including the awning hopefully . Then to Mexborough to the storage
yard, where it'll be living. We've been watching the weather forecast and it's a bit
windy, but no great dramas hopefully for my first trip. I've towed trailers and driven
coaches in the past, so once I get the feel of it, should be OK.
Pencilling in something for Feb half term (yes, I work in a school, but not a
teacher) for our first outing. Even considered the CC annual, but as I'm an old camping softie needing 'proper' toilets and showers, I might give that one a miss.

That sounds great. There are plenty of 'old camping softie's' on here - including me! We even like water hook up. Have a good time. We're off out for the first time this year during Feb Half Term - off to Ferry Meadows CC site in Peterborough. Looking forward to it. Congratulations on your 'soon to be' new van!

Thanks for all the support guys and gals.
Peter Roberts it is, Peter sold us the van, really nice chap we both
thought. My wife's building up a box of bits to put in the van, musn't
forget a corkscrew . Don't know what sort of awning it is, other than
it's full one, Pegs might be the first thing to sort out, again, being a former
camper, I only ever used one kind of peg, the bewildering variety of available
types is a world to explore.(That sounds a bit geeky doesn't it?)
