I have just been in the supermarket and decided to start my re-stocking of the caravan, my purchase Fairy Liquid, not very exciting I know but it has got me excited about getting away for the first time this year. I have not got anything booked at all but will probably get away in the Easter break.
Can't wait, I might manage a wee night before that - at the end of the garden though.
We are on a seasonal pitch and will be back there at the beginning of March. I have made a huge re-stock list but need to wait for February payday. When we first go back to the van it is like a double shop - ouch!
It's good ton see that i'm not the only one itching to get back out there. Have booked up for a long weekend in Ross Park Caravan Park at Newton Abbot and easter booked up too... the season starts again!

i admire your enthusiasm,i too am itching to get away after stocking up.BUT this week has forecast a big freeze and any liquids left in the van could freeze and make a mess of your van when it does defrost.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
I've already started to stock up on my camping/caravan bits and bobs. I like to buy the individual sachets/packets/jars from places like Piccola and Single Portions.
i buy an extra tin or two every week from the start of the year ,if you have a box to keep it in then its amazing how quickly it gathers up its a big help when it comes to your restock ,if you havent the space etc to do this then saving stamps at your favourite supermarket also help cushion the blow of the first shopping for the van either way i love doing it as it means getting away time and i cant wait

Thats a good idea about the savings card, think I will try that as space is tight, I seem to have a mix of really nice food because we are on holiday and then think of we need to budget a bit so we can go away a bit more so then end up trying all the sainsburys basic stuff which at the moment I havn't had anything we didn't like.
Oh thinking about that i could save my nectar points and use them for the stock up.
some good tips about re-stocking, I'm with you Wynnie, I will add a few things each week, the small sachets is also a good idea, saves on the weight, but fear not Michael the fairy is still in the house, it was -4 when I got in the car this morning and it has to get colder tonight, so it will be a few more days yet before we have a sleepover in the caravan. Mine doesn't have the insulation of a newer model so condensation is still a problem, but opening the windows eventually clears it.
I'm just washing the bedding and towels does this count towards re-stocking? I still haven't decided if we're going away in Feb for the kids half term hols but cant wait for the first get away of the season.
Yes, that does count, I might even give the bedding a refresh too, but to really get me excited I'm off to the caravan show at the SECC tomorrow, with no kids, so I will get peace to browse until my heart is content, or until I need to get home for the boys coming from school.
I'm still stocked up from my last trip! Mind you, it was new years, so not long ago. I still can't wait to get back out though. I went to pay my first quarter rent today & thought I'd better check the 'van whilst there, it just made me even more eager to get it out again!
I was supposed to be going away next weekend, but I've just been given my notice at work, so all excursions are off now.
I might sneak a little local weekend in this month though, nothing too fancy.
