I already have a caravan, not been away in it YET!, but will soon. But I can spend hours on ebay, preloved or just about anywhere looking at caravans for sale, I just love looking at the insides, the layout, bathrooms and oohh! the cooker. I can laugh at my "pastime", but, "Doctor" is this really normal behaviour!!!
There's nothing wrong with that at all and this is one way of gaining extra knowledge. Although I already have a car I often look at Auto Trader online looking at the different kerbweights and engine torque etc. because obtaining the extra knowledge doesn't do any harm. I also read caravan hanbooks and manuals even though I don't have a problem with my caravan and it's amazing just how much extra knowledge you can learn. Studying different caravans and layouts etc. is only going to be beneficial and besides it passes the time away looking at things that you love the most.
OCD springs to mind with me lol. I wish there was Caravan review place, where everyone puts pictures of their caravans. I got lots of tips for equipment and layout when I had my 6 berth tent and that was just by looking on the review pages.
I'm addicted to reading all about caravan sites where they are. Then if I like the sound of then I look them up on google maps.
I know sites and location off by heart. Well quite a lot of them .
I just wish I had more time to go away and try them all out.
You are definately not alone - I do the same with tents too (I have 7 of those and a small caravan!)
If OH looks over my shoulder when I'm browsing the internet (or drooling more like!) he says "what are you looking at that for - haven't you got enough stuff already?!" Yes, I probably have ever conceivable thing I would ever really need for camping and caravanning but it doesn't hurt to look!
OOPS! here comes another confession, I also find camp sites and we make up a packed lunch and go and have a look, we even went to Burnham-on-Sea for the afternoon. lol
We went off to towsure 2wk ago and the tent department was the first place I went to and sat in a couple, then on the way out went to get the things I had really gone for was caravan items lol
Yep I do it too, it is caravan porn, I also oh I can't say it's just to dirty, oh ok I also look at motorhomes, it's a sickness I tell you lol

The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
One of my guilty pleasures too I just love looking at the interior and imagine what our van would look like - I've already planned our next van - I admit I'm still the same with tents although I very much doubt we'll be buying another one
Feel better John? Don't worry you'll be able to start looking again inten minutes

I keep looking at newer (and similar size) caravans to mine, but even if I spent 8 grand on a 201O Elldis Xplore 302 the difference is mainly cosmetic. It doesn't stop me from looking though

I look at everything to do with camping in all forms of units, affordable or not and would or do like getting inside of all of them if possible have a poke around see what's been added.
So does that make me a porno queen with all added perks & fringe benefits to go with it. A lot without moving out of my seat.silly old bird I am.
