trying to get my hands on a second hand one, cant afford a new one at the moment but we have the kampa rally and the material is superb, it goes up a dream so wanting to get a 260 for when our grandson comes to stay with us. Will keep looking. Very impressed.

It's the only awning we use and find it very easy to put up and with the monsoon poles fitted it copes with rain very well. The only problem we have encountered is that when it becomes windy the awning will move along the awning rail as there is no way of securing it near to the caravan other than pegging to the floor. I think that there should be eyelets at the top on both sides near the awning rail to allow you to put guide ropes down to the floor as we have had to take it down on previous occasions because of it moving. That said it's still a very good awning

We have one and there are optional poles that fit near the awning rail down to floor by the padded part to stop the awning moving up and down the  rails. The only problem with them is condensation in cooler weather you have to unzipp top of the doors

Hi, bought one a few weeks ago and as everyone has said it's a doddle to put up. My only warning would be to zip up carefully as I snagged the zip on the outer zip cover flap and it was a nightmare to release, in fact I thought I had written it off.

Regards

Dave

Yes we have those poles as well but still find that when it's windy the awning will move along the rail and that's what i can't understand really, there's nothing to stop the lateral movement. On our last holiday to Trewethett Farm, which is right on the coast and can be very windy, i put a length of rope over the top of the awning near the caravan and pegged it down both sides to try and reduce the movement, it helped but didn't stop it completely

we have never had ours move even in the worst of winds although we do use storm straps if it is very windy also it is always pegged close to the caravan on both sides ?

Yes we also used storm straps and peg it near the caravan but it still moves along the awning rail, I guess it's because of the fibreglass poles that form the roof section, they are very flexible

What you need is a pair of 'Awning Rail Stops'.....they slide into your awning rail at each side of your porch awning then lock them with the screw to stop your awning moving in the rail in windy conditions.

don't know of used one but we used our new 390 last weekend and it was great. very easy to put up and we have the storm straps (not used yet) monsoon poles and the rear upright poles. My OH persuaded me to get the hanging rail too which i must admit was great for hanging coats and towels on.

Thanks Jocko2, I was wondering if something like that was available as it would be ideal, thanks for the info

Andy JC, try preloved. We bought our 260 off Preloved last year and when I last looked there were quite a few 390's for sale.
