We use sleeping bags now but are due to have a fixed bed van ( two single beds )
Is it better to just buy some single duvets .
Also do you leave the beds made up or do you remove all your bedding each time you come away. Put them under beds or ?
I know sheets need to be washed but do you pack duvets away or leave beds made up . Thank you
Our van is on the drive, I wash and just remake the bed up, but always leave the quilt turned down. Its easier than having to make the bed when you get to where ever your going.

Hi Nora, Similar to jasper15 our van is on the drive so its easy, The bed stays made up and we have spares to exchange whilst away for any length of time, bedding is washed & back on ready to roll next time, can't wait with this lovely weather now. It was the main reason we opted for the fixed bed really, minimum faffing about night & morning.
We have always used sleeping bags. Got a fixed bed niw and tried a duvet but couldnt get on with it for some reason, so have gone back to sleeping bags. The only difference now is we have a sheet on the bed to stop the mattress from getting dirty.
I don't have a fixed bed, one day I will , the layout like yours hopefully, but I would be inclined as our is kept at home, to wash bedding on return and then make the beds up and leave them made. After all that's why I want a fixed bed, no faffing around, have fun with your new van :)

The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
We use bedding, with a fixed bed most of the time it is visible so I like it to look nice. The sides of the quilt have to be folded in to make it look neater, to us it feels more home from home with the quilt and as has been said, less faffing around at bed time.
We used to use sleeping bags, no idea why, probably because it's what we did when we went caravanning as kids but now use duvets, much easier to just wash the quilt covers than getting sleeping bags to the launderette then dried, plus sleeping bags seem to come in very loud colours and patterns!
The bed is left made up most of the time unless I bring the covers home to wash.
Enjoy having fixed beds, it's great to have a nice afternoon nap or go to bed early if hubby is staying up late watching telly.
Sorry to be a pain do you use feather / down or synthetic. Fibre.
I am going to buy one new one for now and use one from home .
Lovely replies thank you
We use a fibre one, it's a very low tog rating too, I think it was 1 tog, very thin because the caravan gets much warmer than the bedroom at home so we never need a thick one.
In the colder months when we use the truma heater we set the thermostat to keep the caravan permanently warm.
We are collecting our new van tomorrow which has a fixed bed and mrs broon has plans to make the bed that night so it's all ready for our few days away starting Wednesday.
Before we had a rear dinette which we also left permanent as a bed and made up with a quilt.
We went to the Caravan Show at Birmingham in February and bought some lightweight towels from Snow Goose, they have just put a sale on and i've Just bought some really nice bed linen from Snow Goose. It makes our Bailey look like a hotel room lol , saved us buying a new caravan this year too! Im really pleased with the results and many thanks to Jill at Snow Goose uk she is on www.snowgooseuk.com
Take the duvet off the bed at home and leave bed in van made up while away. Arrive home and strip the bed and put duvet back on our normal bed. I hate sleeping bags.
Bed always made ready for a quick get away. Fibre duvet and bottom sheet. In winter we have a top sheet under the duvet and a blanket over the duvet but it was below freezing -12C outsite at the time.
