Having struggled for 3 years to get our caravan cover back on after each trip, I finally decided there had to be a better way than "walking it over with poles" as the manufacturer suggests.
Now, when I take the cover off, I lay it out on our drive with the inside face down. I then fold the side sections over the roof section to form a long rectangle. Then I roll up the ends like a scroll to meet in the middle. Then I store the "scroll" in the garage till we get back.
When we get back I get my big (very safety!!!) safety stepladder out and pull the scroll up and onto the roof. It is then a very simple job of unrolling the scroll and then bringing the side panels down.
SO much easier than trying to walk it over, which inevitably results in the ladder coming out anyway as the cover always gets caught on the roof vent or the aerial!
Hope that helps anyone else who struggles! - but please, take heed of the ladder warning - make sure you have a VERY safe ladder and someone to hold it secure for you!!
Our drive is sloping and this makes for an unsteady ladder. The other thing to watch out for is picking up dust and git on the interior which might cause scratching of paintwork on windy days when back in place.
I might try this next time. Our protec is quite heavy though.

The poles are hopeless unless you are very very tall. I put my protec on the roof front to front of caravan (may take a few turns to find the front, and then drop down the sides. Hopefully, I have folded mine as you suggest. Novemeber wil ltell!!!!

We have a Protec with the extendable poles going over a Twin Axle...first time we used it I thought can I be bothered with this since then we've had no problem either taking off or putting on with the poles ok I'm 6ft but my wife is not.....taking off takes a couple of minutes and no more putting it back on in actual fact it takes us longer to fit the straps....that hold the cover on...
We had a cover with our first van, cant remember which make, it was dreadful to put on. We had to get a neighbour to help us. When we got our current van we decided to invest in a Protec cover. We were dreading putting it on last winter but the poles provided were great, It went on likeca dream no problems at all, taking it off was even easier. We are not tall 5'7" and 5' 10". Certainly a good investment.

That's the way I do mine, much easier and less shouting at each other
Slightly off topic, but we bought a Pro-Tec roof cover (no sides) for our van, which is basically a large rectangular sheet with Velcro along the edges and two long Velcroed strips which go in the awning channel. It's dead easy to fit - I just lay it out on the roof and adjust its position with the fixing straps, then join the Velcros. (I use one of those multi-way ladders with three locking joints to make a platform.)
An unexpected bonus is that because the strips stick out sideways several centimetres, if I leave them in the channel (not when travelling, of course!) they stop rain running down the sides and making mucky marks.
We just bought a new one Protec as the old one was for a Abi Transtar so that is still in the shed.It has space for the chimney also. So useless to us now.
But the new one, when I said I was in a w.chair she said that they do one that has the back opening and could be a better idea for me.
As the back panel comes off via velcro strip so that it's got a straighter piece like attaching a big back door to it. Van steps will be good enough for sealing it shut.
The first one was the same pain in the whatsit as already been spoken about someone when not tall enough or alone.
Did not know people used them all year though thought it was only in winter. But would certainly keep it cleaner even though no trees where we keep ours. Plenty of dust & dirt though. Have to try it to see how long it takes us.
