We have been searching online for caravans tonight and have come across this model....looks very roomy and a fab kitchen and general layout. Does anyone have one? What's your experience, are you pleased with it? Pro's/xon's?
I nearly went for one of these . Although a different lay out. We were looking at the fixed bed for us . Then we changed and went for fixed bads two singles .
I think if the lay out is right for you it will be fine.
Ive got one - the layout suits us perfectly. We have the fixed bunks for the kids. As our children are small we can fit round the side dinette without getting the large table out. The only negative is the divider that shuts off the bunks also shut off the toilet but once the kids are asleep you can undo it anyway. Bottom bunk folds up to give a very useful loading space. A lot of dealers seem to be doing there own uprated version (alarm bbq point etc) but that only comes with a double bunk not the triple. The 10 year (first owner) water ingress warranty alos appealed as we have no intention of changing for sometime.
Ooh thank yu...we ow have a problem as we thought my husbands can would be able to tow it, but apparently not, and not too sure whether our galaxy can, although. Think it can. I have posted the following on a separate thread, but am yet to get answers...are you able to hel at all?
Sorry I am new to all this, but we are looking to get a caravan and needs to establish which vehicle can tow it, and in turn what towing cavity the vehicles have.
Behicle 1) Ford Galaxy 2.2....GW 2505 GTW 4255, am I right in beleiving that we could tow something up to 1750...but taking into account the85% rule that would leave it at 1487?
Second vehicle Ford Transit T280DCIV GW2800 GTW 3500 so could tow up to 700..which is pretty useless for us!
Have I calculated that correct? I have read many websites but don't quite understand it!
What 6 berth family caravans are out there that meet to 1487 assuming I am right?
We have one and we looooove it. had a few silly warranty bits done but the work top is massive, loads of cupboard space, kids can play at table whilst we use sofas, the storage under third bunk is great although having need for only two bunks i would have waited a year and got the two bunk one . Lots dealers doing slightly diffo ones with small front locker door etc. large rear locker/under bunk is brilliant. It does seem to have a tendancy to like to be a bit front heavy to tow well but it does tow really well. heating really good, we did new year in snow and was cozy. sun roof is lovely for looking at sky and letting in light. front box a goot size and step on A frame useful. I love it and as I say only dissapointment is we didnt change the year after when could have had 2 bunks and oldest have bit more room . although she can get in, a light at head end means she doesnt have to turn round and can reverse out easily, better than the major 6 we had before. happy shopping
------------- Oh am loving the tin tent after campaining against it..........I was wrong.

Nat
Both the Adria 542DT and The 542DK are 1300KG fully laden
Minesapint......daft question, but the lounge area does go into a double bed doesn't it...just reading something in a magazine which is a little misleading!
If you talking 636 yes it does, a big bed, . i think it was an adria we were nextto once and it was being towed by a saloon and i looked it up, it was a nice van, I reckon our sprite major 6 was about that weight too

you wont find many twin axles at that weight so look at the singles. we also looked at Eldiss as well i think. look on highbridge caravans website it is very usefull and caravan finder is another easy to use site . you can search by weight/layout

we wanted the 636, but could stretch to it.....we have had a sprite quattro up till recently (got smashed up!)
ended up getting the major 6, and love it....although its still a compromise on the Quattro which had a massive rear washroom, it does the job very well.
if weight is an issue then for that layout you will be looking at the major 6. the double bed is only marginally smaller than the 636, and we too use the dinette to eat at rather than setting up the table.

Sorry for the late reply (and its been answered) but yes and add to it a memory foam topper and you have a very comfortable large easily made up bed.
