I washed mine last week and used Fenwicks Black Streak remover. Worked like a charm and no heavy wiping, just a soft broom and a bucket of fenwicks shampoo.
Then a few buckets of water with bobby dazzler chucked over. Was the cleanest van on site :-)

I always found Mr Muscle or Flash kitchen cleaner the best for removing black streaks, just spray it on and wipe off. Never had much luck with any of the proper stuff.
Once it's done, rinse with clean water and I find a coat of car wax stops the black streaks sticking so much after. Once it has a coat of wax, the black streaks wipe off with a damp cloth quite easily.
Just use a good quality car polish, with autoglym super resin polish it just wipes off.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

Ive discovered dettol all purpose cleaner will clean anything on the outside of the van and inside, its brilliant stuff..
That's got to be the cheapest option I would have thought Jeff so I might get some and try that myself. I use Fenwick's caravan cleaner and although it removes algea quite easily it still seems to leave behind those faint black streak marks. I have tried car polish in the past and although it removes the black streaks it's not long before they're back again.
