Hi Everyone! I'm new on here, first post!! I live in Milton Keynes, have bought an estate, had a towbar fitted now just need to find a caravan! Wondering if anyone locally to me is selling one? I need a 4 berth, preferably with a seperate bedroom/bunks at the back of the caravan with a curtain/door that slides over. Not much older than 1992, preferably a bit newer. Can anyone help?? Once I've found a caravan I also need advice on good places to store it, has anyone used the one in Cranfield? Thankyou so much, so glad I found this site! Natalie

Both of the clubs recommend the caravan weighs no more than 85% of your car's kerbweight if you are new to towing. If towing is a whole new game for you (it was for us when we bought our van) I'd heartily recommend the Practical Caravanning course http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/expert-advice/getting-started/training-courses/practical-caravanning-courses/ It teaches you how to hitch up safely, how not to electrocute/gas yourself, how to pitch level and safely, how to tow and park your van safely and legally, how to reverse, all sorts of really handy things. It's not the cheapest, and I know others will say it's unnecessary, but it gave me the confidence I needed to tow the van. Incidentally, did you pass your driving test post 1997? Have a read here: http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/expert-advice/getting-started/having-the-right-licence-to-tow/ Lastly, buy a damp meter. It may save you a very expensive mistake.
------------- Keep calm and go camping....
