Number plate is on, had a go at connecting services and had them all running, checked all road lights and tyre pressures ok. Booked site, Langcliffe Park Settle for 3 nights next Friday only an hour or so away. Anyone got any top tips or advice for my maiden voyage? Feeling a bit nervous but a good nervous i think.

You can't go wrong for three days, if you forget any thing you'll be OK just remember them for next time.
Main thing spend a bit of time loading up, any heavy over axle etc, don't over load car, a well loaded caravan and car makes an easy trip a badly loaded on doesn't get you there.

When packing, hitching and setting off, Check check and check again, don't rush. Maybe have a check list. Take your time take a deep breath and ENJOY, Remember this is the only first time and it gets easier every time and any mistakes/errors are learning opportunities. A sense of humour helps as does good weather but its the getting away that matters.

Are you an experienced tower ??
If not, one tip for you, once hitched up wind the jockey wheel down, if you are hitched up properly it will start lifting the back of the car, if not it will pop off. It gives you more sence of security when heading off knowing it is definitely hitched up properly.
Allow lots of extra time for everything, take your time and as above check and check again. Stop at the end of the street and check over, makes u feel better.
Not trying to be funny, nor sarcastic but, whatever you do - don't forget bottle of brown sauce and a bottle opener.
The rest of it is quite straightforward if you think methodically, but, having to have bacon sandwich in the morning without brown sauce and having to use a pair of cheap pliers to open bottles of ale is a damn nuisance and can spoil things...
Google street view entrance to campsite. I always find it helps to anticipate anything like narrower lanes off main road etc. Otherwise as others have said, take ypur time. My dh invested in a nose weight gauge which gives him reassurance before setting off. Have a great time.
Have you got your towing mirrors sorted and tried fitting them, It can take a wee bit of time to get them adjusted. I fit mine the night before so it's one less thing to do in the morning. One other thing I do is take a final walk around the van EVERY time I set off to a site or on the way home checking for all windows closed, door locked, sky lights shut, all external hatches secure ( Hands on test) hook up done correctly break away jockey wheel up secure, EHU cable disconnected and put away. I also "Police the ground" check nothing has been left on the ground before leaving a site, It is easy to forget a peg bag or a rolled up EHU cable sitting on the ground in the packing up.
Take a pint of milk tea/coffee so you can get a cupper as soon as you get a chance it really helps with setting up.
Enjoy your first trip it will be a great experience and don't worry we are all still learning
Oh nearly forgot if your putting up an awning remeber a Mallet for the pegs
Remember to release the handbrake on the caravan before towing and when you get there and unhitch remember to take the break away cable off. You only do it once and then you'll remember for life... ;o)
It easy to get caught up in the moment thinking about all the things you have been told.

Now I'm getting worried, I thought I was pretty thorough with my sums/research into weights and tow cars. Do you just mean because i'm less experienced. It'll be ok with some careful loading, won't it?
There will be no motorway driving first time out so its a steady away dawdle up to Settle.
