Can this be done, especially with its Tencate roof? Has anyone does this if so what is the alteration like and how much, also who does it? We are getting our brand new caravan next weekend and awning size is 1065 but our Bradcot easy alloy is 1050. We love our awning and its in great condition, seems a shame to sell it to replace it probably like for like, any suggestions thanks!
Burton Canvas Repair Centre did a fantastic job for us when they extended our Pyramid awning. We live near Burton but they will collect and return. The extension was about 20cm and it cost £165. I don't know what Tencate is, but they will, so it has to be worth a phone call?
Thanks Rizzo I was wondering that - I wonder if Bradcot would have a clue about that? Hi Battie no harm in finding out size that's the sort of used we would buy, nearly new, what make/model is it?.
We had a "to small" awning on our last van it fitted perfectly our new one on the new van imo is too big even though it is in the middle of the size range.
I would def try it first
Give it a try first you might be surprised, we managed to use our last one on another van.

Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
The difference is only 150mm, or 75mm (3") each end. It is probably within the length of the mud skirt and ladder bands. If not it would be better / easier to extend the mud skirt than to interfere with the integrity of the roof

I think you may find it will fit . We were in the same situation a few years ago. When you break it down in to how much that is each side it's nothing . Our was a slightly smaller but it was fine we continued to use it for 3 more years how ever our new van is a much different shape van.
And the corners are not suitable for our full bradcot. So sadly we will have to think of a large porch now .
I am upset because like you we love our bradcot easy alloy .
Thanks we are taking it to a site after collecting it for an overnighter to check all functions thoroughly so if its a nice day we will take awning and give it a quick test to see if it fits. I do hope so! Thanks for that info Andy I had no idea at which points it would/could be extended.
Just spoke to my friend and his awning is 1000. He lives in mkt drayton. Its been up twice for a total of 7 days but he said its just too big for him and his wife.

With a bit of luck your awning will allow you to use it as is even if you have to adjust the ladder straps to fit. I'd rather have an awning which is a little bittle too short than have it a little bit too long, there's nothnig worse IMO than having an awning on the ground which means you can't peg it properly.
Our last awning fitted too perfectly & we had an awkward pitch which had too much of the awning on the floor for my liking. I had to put two lengths of 4x2 under the tyres to lift the whole thing up a touch so I could peg it properly.
If you do choose to have it altered and were prepared to courier it to Bristol, I can thoroughly recommend Kingswood Canvas in Kingswood Bristol BS15. If you search on here or google them you'll find them. They've altered several for us over the years and even made a complete Annexe for an old awning we had years ago and it was superb, as is their customer service and workmanship.
Hi, we had our Bradford active done, by trio pair, we were very

Fiona,
Rizzo and Murano's advice is good,we have a Bradcot Active that we bought in 2000 for our Typhoon GTX which according to the invoice measures 930cm however we have been able to use it, just, on our 2009 Crusader Typhoon measured at 959 cm for the last 4 years without any problems. So there does seem to be some leeway. I would try it on the van first, you could save yourself time and money.
