If you have paid a deposit that you may lose I would say cancel you will always get in somewhere.
The site we have just left had lots of space. And we had booked a long time ago .
Discounted Insurance Quotes for UKCampsite.co.uk visitors! Up to 12.5% off!
Have you paid a deposit? If so call the campsite and explain the situation. I would think they would be able to either give you your deposit back or put it off to when you can go
Paid in full about a month ago when we go a reminder email, we decided to pay then so it wouldn't be a bill we had to worry about when holiday time came round.
Just had parents on phone, they said the same and wait and see what the doctors have to say...
Maybe I'm just being rash and panicking already for holiday.
if its a CClub site then yes you need to cancel because of the new 72 hour rules.we lost a lot of money though illness when we had to leave early from site due to illness of my other half because we did not give 72 hours notice.best to make sure she is ok before you go.you will get your money back if before 72 hours.hope she is well soon whatever you decide.all the best to you both.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Assuming it's the site in your signature, it looks as if you need to give three day's notice to qualify for a credit voucher - "CANCELLATIONS:
UP TO 56 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL- FULL CASH REFUND.
UP TO 3 DAYS PRIOR TO
ARRIVAL- FULL CREDIT VOUCHER."
Sorry for your dilemma, and hope your other half has a speedy recovery,Why not contact the site owner, explain the problem, and ask if you can change the date of your holiday if you need to, (surmising that you are able to do so). If they are contacted earlier enough, the smaller site owners in my experience are very good at helping their customers.
Best of luck whatever the outcome
Well, we're not going to 'cancel', we're hoping to rearrange for the week after.
Looks like she'll not be out until Friday, so it'll be too much for her to just come out of hospital - jump in the car and go....
Hacksaw Bob, it is Upwood near Keighley we are hoping to get to, so I'll be ringing them in the morning to let them know the score, and to ask if we can rearrange.
the only thing to worry about is your wife's health ...money can always be replaced .....wives??? i would have thought any decent camp site would at the very least hold your money against a future date ...what site is it?
She was supposed to come out today, but they've decided to keep her in until further notice (possibly Monday), but we can't see that happening. There's three docs' bickering between themselves on what to do next, with the OH stuck in the middle of it!
Also, they have even said NOT to go on holiday AT ALL!!... Just in case an infection returns...?
Basically, sit at home - don't do anything - work - go out - NOTHING, 'just in case'!
So, our holiday is definitely off until, er.... who knows!?
