We have fitted a Purple Line Enduro 4x4 motor mover onto our Coachman 640/6 twin axle. I have to say so far after 2 months usage, we have found it to be great. I was however talking to someone the other day who said, not to touch them with a barge pole as they were a terrible Chinese import. The reason we went for it was because it has a 5 year on site, parts and labour guarantee.
Has anyone else had experience of these units, and has anyone had any problems to note?
I used one for several years, absolutely reliable it hauled my caravan up a steep driveway I could not fault it. When I bought my Lunar it had a Reich move control fitted, I removed it and fitted the enduro because the grit rollers on the Reich were worse than useless.

Had my purpleline mover fitted for several years now. Its brilliant.
The smooth roller surface needs a bit of a rethink. It can slip on muddy tyres. But i think they have changed them now to a square design more more grip?
Never had a problem with mine Greg, it may well be made in China (loadsa stuff is these days) but if it is it seems well made and does the job well too. I must admit that after the caravan itself the mover has been the best buy. Speak as you find.
Had one on previous van for 6 years trouble free .Just bought a brand new van and now have fitted a Powertouch
on that solely because it has a 4 speed selection and i have some very tight manoeuvring.
We have a purpleline enduro fitted to our single axle van for 5 yrs and we have had some issues with it, but i think most of these are down to the fitment of the mover behind the wheels, where it gets covered in spray from the wheels. We have had so far the following issues
1. Mover siezing onto wheel, due to it seizing on the winding slide mechanism - easy fix remove from van stripdown and overhual new grease etc.
2. Loose dowel pin on the motor gearing, resulting in not being able to move van on one side - again easy fix new dowel pin 20 p, but again involved removal of unit from the van.
3. More recently the end bearing failed resulting in yes you have guessed it, removed the unit from the van to find the bearing gone in the roller - again an easy fix new bearings (google 6000z if needed) about £3.00 + vat.
Now all fitted again and working wonderfully. The mover does not fit infront of the wheels on our van due the shock absorbers, and it has been regularly serviced (so much for caravan servicing). Other than than a cheap and cheerful unit.

If you replace roller end bearings use 6000RS as they are rubber seals and keep grease in and water out. Z bearings have only dust shields that is why they fail
two vans two endures over the last four years no worries just keep an eye on hand set battery if they go flat that's the first thing to look at if mover does not operate
