Can you legally keep your unit on your drive / garden. I know it might p##s the neighbours off as its only a small garden/drive and might impair their view slightly although ims ure if i asked them they would not mind ( until they talk to each other )

Its a private house if that makes any difference

As far as im aware if its private adn you own land "And not causing a nuisance" then yeah. Mines on my drive same as you smallish front garden.

I just mentioned it to next door and all is well ;)

Apart from a prohiobition within your title deeds there may be a planning prohibition. Worth checking

We've had police knocking on the doors of people with caravans on the drive local to us. Thieves are targeting caravans on drives and also like another post says, watching for when you are away. Storage is a small price to pay for not advertising your comings and goings in my book.
