Our Abbey Aventura 330 6 berth SGDS003SW30296799 was stolen on evening 5/6th October 2013.
We are absolutely gutted, it was our pride and joy and we had only had it a couple of months. Not insured sadly, we believed it was in a secure compound and the risk of theft was low. We were proved wrong. There is CCTV of it being stolen, but it is not clear enough to make out the registration number.
It was taken from Tuttles Lane, Wymondham, Norfolk NR18. 2003 Abbey Aventura 6 berth single axle.
It has a Fiamma cycle carrier bolted to the back and a Fiamma Caravanstore Zip awning fitted. The fridge will be missing all its shelves and trays as we had removed them for cleaning.
I have added it to the stolen caravans list on here. A reward is offered for any information leading to the location of our caravan.
Thanks all for the comments. Hard to describe how we are feeling at the moment. Putting all our efforts into getting it back, as at least it give you something to focus on.
Our 2 year daughter said to me this morning, "Daddy you need to phone the bad man who took our caravan and tell him not to borrow it again!". Breaks your heart.
Any tips or ideas on anything we can do to help in the search for it very gratefully received.
So far we have posted on every website and forum that we can find and have emailed a flyer to all the dealers in the area in case they get offered it. We are also pushing the police but to be perfectly honest, they don't seem very bothered.
Gutted for you . Some peoploe do not care what they do to decent people the most important thing from their point of view is to get money usually for drugs ( scumbags ). The police will treat it the same as a stolen car ie do nothing until it turns up burnt out or in an accident or pull the guy towing it for bad driving. Would'nt hold your breath. Hope all ends well
I was really annoyed on Sunday evening when we dropped our brand new caravan off at the storage facility...we followed all the rules regarding entering and exiting, but saw one person just allowing a car to drive in from outside the compound...could have been anyone! Doesn't give you much confidence.

I hope you find it in the condition it was in.
My van's on the same storage site and up to now I've never seen anyone do that.
I hope the op gets their caravan back soon, it must be really awful to have that happen. Makes me glad mine's an old one and not worth nicking.

Same van as myself, and I know how sick I would feel if my beloved van got stolen. Low risk or not,I'd never have my van uninsured,I know that isn't helping but for the small cost of insurance it simply isn't worth the risk. Hope the police catch them and get it back

Simon put an ad on eBay in the selling section, make it clear it's stolen and a reward is offered. Put plenty pictures on so that if anyone is looking for a van they may come across yours.
Do gumtree pre-loved etc as well.

try to find a list of all the sites that the freinds of jim davidson live on in your area u know the ones those that the police are scared of visiting rhymes with crickey. and have a look yourself, you might turn something up.
We did think of putting an advert on eBay, Gumtree etc. with all the details, but we thought it might prevent the thieves from advertising it as they'll know that we're watching all the sites.
Ideally it needs to appear for sale somewhere so that we can track it down. We'll know it's ours, there are so many little things about your own van that you learn.
Anyone successfully recovered their stolen caravan? If so, how was it found?
We have a list of all the official traveller sites in our region. But we are a bit scared to go into them, stories of 'outsiders' having bricks thrown at their cars and beaten up etc.
But somehow we do need to find out if our lovely van is now resident in one of these locations.
Tempted to buy an RC drone to fly over the site and take overhead photos/video. But it would probably get shot down...
I've made up a video of the CCTV footage of the thieves taking our caravan and a Tabbert Vivaldi. Totally brazen as they just drive in and then out with our vans. I'm hoping this might trigger someone's memory who have seen it or convince someone who knows where it is to take the cash reward. Please share wherever you can. Thanks.
