I was thinking of forking out to have a paint sealant to my caravan but actually take pride in doing things myself.
Autoglym 3 step programme for cars looks ideal but not one review mentions using it on a caravan. I know my van is made from a different material but can I use this on it? My 3rd step would be the HD wax.
I have been using Showroom shine which is great but the van soon looses it's shine.

Why not ask 1) Lunar and 2) Autglym.
I use Autoglym polish and shampoo with no harm done and like you Showroom Shine to keep on top of things through the season.

I also use autoglym resin Polish, it's great, then keep up the shine with the aldi alternative to showroom shine, super fast polish for a big caravan.

hello I restore classic cars for a living and I always use Autoglym on the cars I paint I have bought our first caravan this year ours to has different surfaces fiberglass painted surfaces and moulded .
over the years if not looked after the surface oxidise due to uv sun light to remove this is best done with a machine polisher with g3 after this apply autoglym resin polish the only down side is there is a lot of surface to cover over time the more you polish it the better it gets and lasts longer it really depends if you want to put the effort in as it is hard work to do the job right.

"redheads"....the caravan is new so I was going to wash, apply the super resin then the wax. I was hoping then I would only have to wash the van to get it back to it's sparkle. How long would a proper wax coat protect for? I was hoping to get away with waxing no more than annually.

did not know your van was new then I would recommend to you the company called paint seal they would come to your location and they apply a coating to your caravan once this is applied it stays shiny when your caravan gets dirty you just wash it of and your van is shiny again I think they give it a 5 year guarantee you normally see them advertise on the caravan channel on sundays on the information channel I hope this helps you.

i like autosmart products . have been using them for years . i find they are cheaper than autoglym and just as good .

Hi Mark! I am looking for a product/products that will keep my caravan looking new and will make it easy to clean. I hate getting to site after a wet tow to a filthy van. I have heard that a paint sealant will enable me to clean the van with just water when I arrive to get a lovely shine. Would I get the same with the Autoglym 3 step regime? Also how long would a full treatment including the HD wax last on the van?

I had a new caravan Paint Seal finished a few years ago. I wouldn't say it ever lookd any better than when I cleaned it my self, which I enjoy doing. Also when you have these paint seal type products , you need to clean them with special shampoo to up hold the finish. This can work out expensive. I now always use Autoglym or Mer
