Hi weve had our affinity 540 for 4 months now, just curious to how the solid construction is performing as some solid owners have possibly had the first service done?
Hi thanks for your time ,Weve already had water system replaced and a lot of repairs/ replacements under warranty, some still outstanding. We were just wandering if anyone has had issues with the construction because thats the only thing that hasnt gone wrong yet! We love the van though
We have only had our Avante for 4 months, but managed 38 nights away in it so far. The only things we have had replaced is a leaking shower hose and a bowed wardrobe door that was spotted before we took delivery.
Our first service is not due until next July, so only time will tell, but no further problems so far. We did ask about the roof tv ariel, but they demonstrated it fine at the dealership, it just wont work on our drive or in some parts of Norfolk where the signal is poor.

Hi we have had about 25 nights in the affinity in the 4 months we have owned it, would have been more but its been back to the dealer in that time. We have been to various parts of england and wales and so far the avtex aeriel has been great.Unfortunately it still has to go back to the dealer for repairs and back to the factory for a repair that the dealer cant do so it looks like our winter trips are going to be disrupted as well
Our 462 Affinity will be 3 years old next spring, no problems what so ever a nice piece of kit. The only problem was the whale pump, but that was replaced under warranty, but I dont count that as a fault with the van!
I own the 540 Avante , 8 months old. Main problems have been with tge heating and the useless whip aerial. Had a flyscreen replaced and some other problems but on the whole happy. Sadly some owners are having major problems with cracked lower panels.
We've had ours 5mths and it's been great, no issues at all yet - touching wood! Funnily enough we heard some bad things about the aerial but so far we have found it to be excellent everywhere we've been.
We have had the Avante 540 for almost a year. New flyscreen fitted, awning light does not work, awaiting new unit, 12v plug at front blows fuses, wardrobe door warped, badly fitted lockers and broken locker catches. We have had no issues with the TV aerial apart from in Scotland, then we use the satellite system. The first service is booked for December 12th and hopefully some of the issues will be resolved. I have not picked up any info regarding cracked panels from any forums but would be interested in any available links.
Hi the awning light and flyscreen on our affinity have already been replaced along with broken catches, the kitchen sink has also been replaced due to the fading that others are reporting, but so far nobody seems to be having any issue with the construction fingers crossed . All our warranty claims have been approved but actually getting them done is another matter , by the time our first service is due there will be nothing left to replace
Our dealer was fairly good with the warantee work, the new wadroble door was ordered as soon as we had paid for the new van, and it was actually us who held up the fitting with being away and unable to return to the dealer until the end of September.
Ok, its a bit of a pain to make the 70mile round trip back to the service yard, but once there, the engineer did our repairs whilst we waited, and also answered a few questions we had about some of the features of the van after the very poor handover we recieved on the day we originally collected it from the sales department.

Just found posts on another forum with pics. Looks like stress cracks at the bottom of the rear panel on two different vans both 2013 avantes same panel used on affinity .Picking ours up from storage tonight as idc being replaced tomorrow, will be washing and checking for cracks , hope this isnt a sign of things to come!
I have had the avanti 556 and now the sirocco. personaly the swift are better built,Had the europa,& the conquer 645lux with no probs at all.The sirocco, the finishing covering on the plywood is peeling under the seats and at the side of the door which i keep sticking back down, plus water pump probs and other niggling problems.I think i have replaced every pipe joint on the van as they kept leaking,It was cheaper to do the work my self & quicker than call the caravan folk out. They wanted a call out fee, as I cant take the van to them as it is a seasonal van on axle stands and i had no where to stay as the van is on its pitch in c/wall.
