Would anyone have any instructions for the 'ROYAL' Wessex 260 porch awning at all as I have recently bought one second hand but no instructions included.
I have searched the internet without any success and also checked to see if 'Royal' have a website as they may have a contact number. However, there is just one page which appears to be under construction although there is just one e-mail address for my orders but not for enquiries.
I have already had a look on youtube but can only find one short video relating to the Royal Wessex 260. I was hoping for something I could print off and keep it with the awning as a basic guide for the first time of erecting it as
only having full awnings previously this is the first porch awning we've had so it's going to be a slightly different set up to what I'm used to.
Yes, I have looked on Google several times but nothing related to what I need unless you have a link regarding your above post at all. If not then I will have to phone the contact number in the link on my first post and see if they have a customer services that can help as like I said previously, their website is currently under development.
I have managed to find the instructions for the Royal Wessex 260 and have now printed them off from the PDF document. After trawling through the net searching multiple suppliers, one of them actually had the necessary document for download. This is what I was hoping to achieve via the Royal Leisure website but at least it's job done now.
I Had a quick browse on the net at the Royal Lounge 390 but not so keen on this model as it doesn't have the sun shades over the front windows like the Royal Wessex has. You can see what I mean if you look in my profile (middle picture).
You can see the Lounge 260 as a comparison below.
For this season only we brought this from Preloved ...
Outdoor Revolution Compactalite Pro 325 Porch Awning
But next year we are looking at a full size Awning 1075 or Porch Awning 390 which takes our fancy we need it to be bigger then we have we have two dogs.
Look at my profile you will see pictures of our Caravan and Awning ...
Had a look at you profile Phil and looks a nice caravan.
We have just down sized from a full awning to a porch awning actually and although the full awning is in mint condition it's too small for your caravan as it only 900 cms. You can see the front of it in the bottom picture on my profile.
That caravan you have (tango55) looks nice is it a end washroom.
Been looking at a V40 Cross Country Diesel Automatic Car .
But i wanted to ask you what are Volvo"s Like ....
Yes, our caravan is the end washroom model and prefer it to the end kitchen version as it offers more space plus the empty shower cubicle is utilised to carry my wastemaster, two water barrels and a pair of lightweight chairs so the living area can be left free of clutter if you want to use it during a short break.
I'm not familiar with the V40 and don't know anyone that owns one but the Volvo's with the 2.4 tdi D5 engine (5 cylinder diesel) are very popular especially the 4x4's such as the XC70 and the huge XC90 models. The Volvo V50 I have also has the D5 engine which is built on a Ford Focus chassis except that the body is far more solid than a Ford and has extra protection regarding sudden vehicle impact. Personally the Volvo V50 is probably one of the best cars I have owned but the only down side is that although it's an estate it lacks volume in the rear luggage area compared to other vehicles in the same class. However, when the car was first built the majority of reviews basically concluded the same opinion.
As a towcar it delivers a massive 179 BHP & 258 Lbs./ft. engine torque which is exactly the same as the 4x4's except the economy is far more economical with around 55 mpg. solo and around 30 mpg. towing.
Volvo's generally make a good towcar and quite reliable and there are few on this forum that drive the V70 model which are more in line with the size of a Mondeo but they probably tow a heavier caravan than mine.
You can always ask for a test drive in a Volvo but I don't think you will be disappointed.
Before we stopped we used to have a Bailey Ranger 460/2 that was a end washroom and we loved it.
The Seat Altea XL SE TDI DSG 5 Door was a Great tow car.
But thanks for the advice we will have a test drive when we try the Volvo out ...
Another reliable towcar to look at is the Skoda Superb or Octavia depending on what size car you need. The Octavia was a second choice for me after the Volvo V50 but because of my budget allowance I was afraid of picking up an ex taxi as many taxi drivers use them for their reliabilty and cheap running costs. If you are buying a new car I think a Skoda would also be worth a test drive at least but never drove one to say how they handle or how comfortable they are to drive although the estate does have a larger capacity rear luggage area.
It may be worth starting a new thread asking for advice on both Volvo's and Skoda's and see what feedback you get.

I am also looking for instructions for the Wessex 260,where did you find them?
Sorry for the late reply but I only seen your post today after 7 months but here is how to obtain the instructions for the Royal Wessex instructions if you haven't managed to find them.
Go to the website www.leisureshopdirect.com and enter in the search box 'Royal Wessex 260 instructions' and it will take you to the various Royal Wessex awnings. Just click on the appropriate awning and then there are two tabs which are 'Description' and 'Exploded Diagrams'. Click on 'Exploded Diagrams' then you can download the PDF file for the full instructions then print them off as required.
