Anyone out there got a cristalll caravan, We had a look at them in preston last week and we were very inpressed, we are going up to carnforth today. The size of the single beds and bunkbeds was great.

Its the Samoa 490 EB with the fixed twin beds with the proper mattresses that we are intrested in.

Anyone any experience or no of anyone with one

Hi, we have a new Cristall Sprint we have used it one holiday and have been trying to get our money back from last August. We have had major problems with the shower (we were told it was a working shower room) plus other problems. I hope this helps.

We have only used the caravan once.

The shower leaked into the wardrobe and blew the 240V system.  Impossible to make a long term fix.

Cracked window.

Poor hob quality, only used it once and grommits melted.

Toilet flush failed after only 3 or 4 uses.

Front box lock fell apart

Hi  Wardy,

We are looking at TEC's and Cristall and wondered if you bought one in the end, and if you did which model and any problems that you may have had.

Hi Wardy,

We are in the same position as you , the more we look the harder it gets to choose.Spent yesterday deciding between a TEC sorted out extras etc and price then looked and liked an Adria but dealer not too helpful. Saw a Hobby but decided not for us, then wondered about a Hymer Nova which may be too heavy. Could not fit in Cristalls so went home tired. Planning to go to The Lawns at Hull on 6/7/8th Sept. hopefully to make a decision.

We bought a Cristall Sprint 390TK from Moorland leisure in April this year.  We are very happy with it.  The only problems were a damaged HT lead on the heater and some loose trim in the toilet, both of which Moorland fixed.  We have had no trouble with the toilet or the cooker.  We haven't used the shower yet and have some doubts due to what looks like rather a lot of unsealed areas.  It tows a dream behind our Astra 2ltr diesel auto(it's just on the 85%).  We must have done around 2500 miles towing so far.

Hi everyone.!

re Cristall caravans. We've recently purchased a 2004 ex demo 390g caravan (the garage model) and its great. Easy to tow, and comfortable.   Its got fixed bunks at the back of the van and lower bunk rises to store bikes in (the area closes of with a sliding door).

Only problem we've currently got is the toilet door is slightly misaligned and one of the gas burners on the hob needs adjustment (won't stay alight).    These will be sorted by dealer.

We've not had any of the problems mentioned and fingers crossed we won't. German caravans do tend to have better reliability than others from info I've read.

Cheers:)
