Just had our renewal through for the cost of £258.03 or £21.50 month (our daughter has cover too).
stewed on it for a few days as have been a member for over 10 years, looked at CC Mayday, but not too sure with some of their policies and reviews. I decided to give RAC a call on their freephone number, which was a novelty in itself not having to pay for the call, and told them I had looked a Mayday and they could do it for £150, (but I still don't think they're as comprehensive as RAC), he did say they had different policies which he couldn't comment on, he went off and came back with a figure of £175.45 or £14.62 month which is £5 less a month than we paid this year well chuffed.
Thank you RAC, but why couldn't you have given me that price in the first place for my loyalty.
Same here with the AA - I have to call every year and get them to bring down the price! And the same with the car insurance, and the same with the house insurance...

We got a renewal quote for our house insurance, phoned up and got told it was cheaper to cancel the policy and start as a new customer!! it would appear loyalty is a thing of the past
Hi, Its a case of lets see if they,re daft enough to pay this renewal. was once with swinton checked on line before renewal came was the same price as previous years, when renewal notice arrived was £80 more. I phoned and told them I had a cheaper quote, they offered to match it and asked who it was with swinton I said so stick it.

I have RAC Roadside Recovery, Onward & Accidental Care, Motor Legal Care.£50 with tesco vouchers
Just check conditions, as you may find that if it is the caravan that breaks down and is not towable ie wheel bearings,it does not cover, but you will be charged.
We have mayday ( green flag ) through the CC and have never had a problem with them. If they weren't good then the cc wouldn't use them. The AA etc are companies and not clubs as they used to be.
We have RAC Arrival with the C&CC and judging on your experience, I will be ringing them myself when time comes for renewal. We have had the Arrival cover for years now so that we have the proper cover for the caravan as welll as the towcar - not all breakdown will cover you if there is a mechanical problem with the van and getting a caravan moved from the motorway hard shoulder could prove to be very expensive.
It is annoying though, all the companies seem to do this now so every year we have to trawl through the internet, phoning for quotes etc. so I suppose they just play on the fact that some people can't be bothered. The extra profit must be enormous.

Already have, the cover would not be for every one as the caravan length is restricted to 23' or 7m I know its ok as we have been recovered once during our five years on this policy
if your caravan is over 18ft long the rac will leave you stranded like they did us.Also they wont come out if your caravan is not towable. You may aswell phone a friend.cost us £450 to get home, rac wanted £600 even though we were members.Their attitude was rubbish and they could not give a toss.I would not p**s on them if they were on fire, hence i have mayday. The best cover for a caravan in my eyes
We have Kia Assist, which is RAC Arrival, our Caravan is 7.36m long.Although the car is less than a year old ,we had to use them twice in September, in France and Spain, and they were excellent. They arrived in less than 30 mins and sorted the problem very quickly.Have just renewed, for two years. Well pleased. £145 for the car for two years, plus about £45 per year for the caravan. Both covers include full EU cover.

they will if you have the ARRIVAl, they won't if you only have the normal RAC cover, hence it being more expensive. I made sure, because our renewal letter didn't state arrival` but it does on our cards, so I think I asked about 3 times that the caravan would be recovered if their was a problem with the van, and he said it was definitely covered,
