I have just bought a 59plate kia carens ,the caravan is nose down on this car and I can't fit spring supports on this car.
Can someone please help thanks
PETE
We have towed with an 04 Carens and an 08 model. Keeping the nose weight to under 75kg (the max for both models) helped to ensure that neither were nose down towing either the Beachcomber we first had or the S7 Pageant we now have.
In short check your noseweight.

So if the car doesn't have rear coil spring suspension then what does it have? If you need further help on levelling the outfit it may be wise to explain a bit more in detail at least.
Funny I could have sworn I said something very much like that at around 10am this morning.
I have towed with both the 04 and 08 versions of the Carens and its a good tug. Neither of ours were tail down but then we kept the noseweight to circa 70kg within the limit set by Kia
Never assume. Anybody who has no knowledge of caravans & no caravanning friends to help them has to look to forums such as ukcs for advice, they can read books but they can't ask books questions unlike ukcs, which is the value of such forums.
When a problem is posted up, all possibilities should be examined & for the op the first thing they should do is to check noseweight. Once it is ascertained that this is within limit for car then other reasons can be examined & tbf the op has yet to acknowledge that they have checked noseweight or that they even know what it is.
So yes trog, it is a bit 'weird' to fail to help a forum member for fear of being regarded as 'condesending' & even weird'er(?)to post such offtopic irrelevance.
assuming people are so clueless they should not be even contemplating towing a caravan is a wee bit insulting and personally i dont think its much help but as i say i may bit a bit weird in this respect.. :)
