Hi I've just imported a Bailey Senator Wyoming 2004, after following all instructions to the letter we can not get water to flow from taps, any sliders what could be my problem, we have hooked up to power and 12v but no joy. I'm not even sure where the pump is? Perhaps under bed in water heater? Up front under seat on right there is a white whale plastic device of sorts or perhaps in the water tank under front centre draws, please help if poss no dealers around me here in little New Zealand thanks mark

Hi Mark & welcome to the forum.

It may well be that the pump is external, ie on the end of the tube that goes into the water container, if it is there will be two electrical connections for the 12 volt supply next to the water connection point in the side of the van.

The Wyoming should have an external pump as Dave suggested.

Have you got the owners manual for the caravan? If not you can download it from the Bailey website, it'll help you get used to how it all works.

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys, I've got the pump that pumps water into the caravan, attaches outside, I was more thinking of a pump that circulated around the van once the tanks have been filled, as it seems I have no pressure, lines have been primed etc, thanks again mark

Mark, have you seen the part of the manual that gives instructions for the onboard supply system?

Did you use the pump to fill the tank? If so the pump must be working and it could be the pressure switch causing the problem, I don't have any knowledge of these as I've always left mine alone for fear of mucking it up.

Hopefully a Senator owner will come along shortly and throw more light on the problem.

Rob

PS I had a water supply problem in my recently acquired motorhome, eventually discovered that someone had drilled a hole through a pipe. That's not something I'd ever come across before.

Having filled the tank you will need to run the taps for a while to bleed all the air through the system. Are you getting any hissing noise or anything running at all.

Is there a drain tap open. Is water coming out the bottom of the van.

I will give that a go also thanks, although water flows thru fine for 39 sec then just slowly stops ? I'm still wondering where the pressure comes from to pump it thru the caravan ? Is there a pump in the front water container under the draws? Regards mark

If you have a onboard water tank usually under the bed
that will have a pump inside the tank. Maybe that is kaput.

Hi Mark, the external pump creates the pressure, there is only one pump and it should run when any tap is opened.

As already mentioned it has to blow (purge) all the air out of the system, (both hot & cold) before it pulls water through constantly every time, if not the non-return valve may be faulty. The pump should run constantly until this happens, after making sure the drain valve is closed, start at the farthest point from the inlet, (usually the bathroom) and work backwards until all the spluttering stops and a constant flow is established, the water heater will take 10 liters on it's own to fill. Good luck mate.

Dave
