My mother kindly allows me to store my van on her drive at home. The other day she decided to paint her fence with some cuprinol fence paint.
The problem is she had inadvertently sprayed said fence paint onto my van!
Does anyone know what is best to remove it as it looks a right mess? My mum tried a hob cleaning paste which got it off but I have luckily stopped her using it as it is an abraisive cleaner.
Have you tried gentily rubing with a spot of petrol lighter fuel on a soft cloth? Its an old trick that l have used in the past for removing road tar splats off my car and caravan and it worked ok. Just try in a test spot first and wash off well with plenty of clean water as soon as its done its job and lifted the stain. The lighter fuel can be bought from any good tobaconist store in its little bright yellow tin for around £2.

I wouldn't use an abrasive kitchen wash up pad. It'll ruin the painwork. The fence "paint" is water based so will come off reasonably easily. Try wd40 or wash with soapy water or just polish it off.
Even although it is water based is does not just wash off, as I have had the same problem with my next door prat two years running. Funnily enough he thought it would just wash off as well.
The easiest way I found was to dab the paint with a touch of Tcut leave for a few seconds, then wipe off and polish the area back up.

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Once it has dried it is almost impossible to remove entirely.
My car was spattered with it and I tried everything including T-Cut, there were still some specks when I sold the car a couple of years later.
When i sprayed my fence some mist went onto conservatory glass and it did not notice until dry.I tried all things, solvents, including scourers to no avail.Still there after 4 years.
