Hi all
Just got down to the van today and filled up the water container and dropped the pump in and it started straight away and won't stop. I have opened and closed all the taps but it still stays on any suggestions.

The system must be loosing pressure somewhere. Might be worth checking that the hot water tank dump valve lever is in the correct position. I once pushed ours down too far so it was not horizontal and the subsequent drip caused the pump to come on and stay on.

We had this happen in our Lunar. It's usually the pressure switch which is affected by the electrical voltage. The pressure switch needs adjusting. On one occasion this didn't solve the problem and , I think it was the micro switch which was changed under warrantee.

Sometimes a little rain must fall before you reach a rainbow.
The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work.
Decided to give our water pump a check over yesterday, found a leak on the pump outlet to the blue twin tubing, (which was an eye opener when you look inside it!!), so was not pumping full pressure into the caravan. Resealed it and way more umphh in it now.
Also noticed what looks to be a date printed on the pump of 21/2003, is it really still going after 12 years?? its a Crystal Maxi pump...
You need to ascertain whether this van has a pressure system or micro-switched water system; it won't use both.
As suggested, the pressure switch can operate incorrectly if either it's set up needs adjusting or if the leisure battery voltage is low.
If the system uses micro-switches on the taps, then the problem could well be a failed switch putting a demand on water permanently.
I would suspect if this relates to the Adria, it would have a pressurised system, so find and confirm the presence of a pressure switch, but get the battery checked/charged, otherwise any adjustment to the pressure switch will simply need repeating once you're on site.
Final possibility is either a missing 'o' ring from the pump connector or a damaged/split water inlet that's preventing a proper seal from the pump.
I have just had the same problem and carried out all the obvious checks.
It turned out to be the non return valve at the back of the external water pump inlet.
I renewed the valve and as its a pressurised system I also adjusted the pressure switch which is in the same area as the non return valve.
Works a treat now.
It could also just be something as simple as path20 said.

Yea, pretty much. Depending on the tap, either two or three wires the each tap on the underside, plus you might be able to detect a slight click as you turn the tap on/off, as the switch actuates.
A pressure switch however would usually be positioned near the water or heater tank. It may look similar to this example ...
