Is it just me?
When I read the magazine the caravan world appears to be a different place to the world I see.
We never hear about questionable dealers or manufacturers who produce inferior products.
The Club only appear to review good Caravans.
At the same time forums are awash with complaints and horror stories.
I have just read reviews on three used vans all with glowing verdicts,don’t they have. Damp meter. They even comment on a Bailey which has a logo to show it is Ali Tec built vehicle promising imperviousness to water.Why don’t they read the real story on here?

the mags won't publish bad reviews because the mags are full of adverts selling said caravans, so why would they slag off the hand that is feeding them

Like all magazines the vast majority of the expense is paid for by the advertisers, now they ain't going to p*ss them off.

Magazines exist to provide income for the publishers. Most of the income comes from advertising.
The maths is obvious.
They used to be a good source of advice about fixes and good ideas in the days before the internet. But now people go online to find out what to do if a problem arises.
Many magazines have died, and most are struggling.

Anyone notice the article on the Old Hartley club site (again)?

Not read it, but wasn't there a post on here about it where they said places nearby were easy to get to by car - to which they're not...??

So what are they doing there, printing the same crap (written different?) hoping we haven't remembered?

Oh, and that '8p off a litre of Shell fuel only and motorway serice stations - that already have inflated fuel prices...)...

The magazine has just become a 'quick flick through' mag, not a one I'd sit a read mag....

The CMC mag always resembles a sanitized in house company publication, somewhat divorced from reality. I gave up with it and cancelled its delivery along with all those flyers that you can't stop too.

I been to Old Hartly and yes places are easily got to be car we had no problems.

Full of nauseating, sycophantic, self-congratulatory nothing-ness from people you pray won`t be pitched near to you when using of their site. Terrible.

Or they are whinging about some trivia or other!
We read the bits that might be interesting then recyle it.
The C&CC mag is not much better in my opinion.

I used to read my magazine from cover to cover , and look forward to receiving it . Sadly now a quick flick through some articles and do the crossword and that's it . It isn't what it used to be

Thanks JuanHu Nose, sums it up I think. Who are all these wonderful people? On the few sites we've stayed at the camaraderie is a grunt and a surprised hello when you greet them. Am a member and use it mainly for the CL and ins. The magazine is definately thinner and less interesting than it used to be.
