Real shame lunar caravans were very well built and looked great. Would have had a lunar before a Bailey any day
Plus one.
Loved our Lunar.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
We had 3 Lunars and loved them, before moving to Coachman a couple of years ago. Thought they'd got a bit too fancy for their own good recently!
Sad to see them struggling though - hopefully someone will step in and save them.
Why .??
Caravans and motorhomes are doing so well now , I am quite surprised we were thinking of changing and the challenger was top of my list .
Friends bought one two years ago and I thought it had the most comfortable and attractive seating . Also quality interior . What a shame.
So not many made now in the UK

Probably some still calling them leaky Lunar don't help this may have been true many years ago but not now Lunar wouldn't leak any more than any other caravan
------------- its our imperfections that makes us perfect
Unless there are major advances in EV (battery car) technology, there won’t be tugging power to haul a caravan from e.g. INVERNESS to Nice. Diesels are on the way out and may be taxed out of use, so demand for caravans (and perhaps motor homes) may decline. There may be more going belly up?

Maybe pessimism ?
Certainly agree on your thoughts on using an EV for towing.
As for diesels...............not so sure.
Remember that the new tax rules only applies to new diesels, old models will still be available that are very low tax or tax exempt . This may mean that older diesels will become very popular among towers, and may be tricky to find on the used car market.

Electric motors have far greater "tugging power" they produce maximum torque at all RPM. The only problems towing with ban EV will be re-charging time and at the moment very few EV and hybrids have been approved for towing, this is because of the cost of approval for a low number of vehicles

This thread is starting to read like the Two Ronnies “Answering the previous question” sketch - a bit of subject slippage?
My thoughts are with the workers at Lostock, some of whom may have made our Venus.

My thoughts are with me and will this affect the future trade in price.
