Speak to Eglinton. Last year I needed a tyre replacing, and other work, and I took the van to them. Don't know who they used but assume it's someone in Irvine.
Give them a call and they will probably tell you.

How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?

Cheers I forgot about this guy believe he has serviced our caravan in the past. Have a lead of ATS Hurlford they might do it as they do HGV tyres. Phone them tmo Ta
Is it that hard to do it yourself? I watched a guy at a tyre shop do mine and the only* "special" equipment he used was some choice swear words and a long handled Allen key to tighten the Tyron segments together. It wasn't that easy, but he managed it so I reckon I could probably manage it.
*And the usual pneumatic bead breaker etc but I can do that with tyre levers etc.
I see on KwikFits website that they know all about Tyron bands, possibly a last resort.

I was going to suggest 'Kwik-Fit' when I first read the thread but wasn't sure if there was a branch in your area so waited to see if anyone else locally could offer any advice.
Hi tango55
We did try Kwik Fit and it was a no. But were going to see a guy tomorrow. A friend of a friend had done them and will help us out. He doesn't advertise this type of fitting as its too long a job to do. He also recons the tyre has had damage will somebody else fitted the new valve. I thought this sometime ago as the tyre never went down till the valve was fitted.
Strange that about Kwik Fit when you read their blurb.

When I had a puncture KwikFit couldn't even give me my wheel back! I had to leave the wheel with them to do the repair, when I picked it up I noticed that one of the stud holes was missing, mine had 5 holes the one they wanted to give me only had 4! I would not use them again
Fast modern today's pace doesn't help at times eh. Have the tyre being repaired and need a new one. The tyre was damage when they fitted a new valve.Picking it up tomorrow.
