Hi have just bought an adria 502 dk 2004 model (today!) seems like a great deal the door seems to be on the opposite side though does anyone know if this is a problem? thanks jo & mark xx
Hi my first van was a 1996 Adria oprima 400B it was in really good condition. Its first owners didnt get on with caravanning and sold it within months of buying it new. I had it for 3 years and it was a really practical resilient little van. Mine was on the basic side without hot water.
We moved onto a much plusher van with hot water, blown heating & dedicated shower cubicle and lots of other extras.
I still miss the Adria though as it did what it said on the tin
i got an adria altea 432px last year new 2005 no problems up to now door on wrong side as you say but never been a problem only complaint is the power point in front of the sink unit if you have a plug in say to boil a kettle you catch the cable with the cutlery draw going to try and use a 2 way adaptor next time i go away so i can plug it in in the top out of the way of the drawer
------------- bryanA friend is one who knows all about you, and still likes you
Adria Altea 502 DK HI, HAVE ALSO JUST PUT DOWN A DEPOSIT ON AN ADRIA 502 DK 2004 THE DOOR SEEMS TO BE ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE TO OUR OLD AVONDALE PERLE DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS A PROBLEM??
We have a foreign caravan and our door is on the foreign side. It is actually quite good, it is always a talking point when you get to a site. It always makes the site owner think of where to put you to suit your door, so you having a nice chat about it. It's also great as our caravan is on a drive and we live in a semi, so for us we can have the caravan facing the right way but have the door our side so that we don't have to walk on next doors land to get in it. Sometimes if we have it facing sideways the door still faces closest to our house so it is very practical for us although that wasn't a factor in us buying it just a bonus. Have fun and for a caravan that isn't that old it sounds like a bargain to me. Foreign caravan seem to offer fantastic value for money and seem very well built. I wish you many years of happy caravaning.
I love my foreign caravan and it's great to be different.
Thanks for everyones help, looking forward to collecting our new caravan. it may be basic but as we told the salesman who was trying to encourage us into an all singing all dancing model our current van is nearly 20years old so this new van is 5star luxury to us. thanks again Jo & Mark xxx
We have a 1999 Adria 502 UP from new ,the only problem I`ve had was de-lam in the floor, but that was sorted for minimal fee.The build quality of these vans cannot compared to UK manufactured units,we have just ordered a new Adivia that is due end of Feb,and to be honest I will be sad to see the old van go.We have had so many happy times especially in Winter.
We have an Adria A461db,right hand door. This presents no problems infact it can be an advantage. These really are cracking vans, three seasons in ours only fault door seal on fridge.
They are not posh, they are practical and hard wearing units.Sounds like a bargain for the 502 at£5995 well done ,you wil not be dissappointed.
Mind you some people do still tend to look down on you but you get used to it,after all whos the pratt towing the 1500 kg van and burning more fuel and money?.
